C1 Unveiled!!!

Post by dillosk8ter »

The Citroen Car Club site has press info and two pics of the new C1. Unsure about the car myself, front a bit too blobby and rear oh so similar to the new Smart Forfour.

Why on earth does anyone want a smaller car than the C2????
In fact why dont Citroen just offer the C2, C4 , C5 and C8 - seems too many cars in the line up.

You'll see in a few years, we will all be driving along on battery (those AA ones) operated cars. Kinda those small 2 seat cars that require a simple licence for driving.

So now we have 1 to 6 and 8, what about a C7? Or is that to be the Picasso replacement?

Wonder why Sir Clive Sinclair never sued Citroen over nicking the C5 badge?

I think Citroen used the name in the 20's - when Sir Clive may have been forming his ideas as an infant!
Isn't the American serial number for the huge Galaxy transport aircraft the 'C5'- as that was available in the late 60's Sir Clive would have had trouble proving title.

The C2 is so small I dont see the point in the C1. They should have just made it a 2 seater city car with a biggish boot. Or here an idea, have a 3rd seat in the rear but make it sideways or something. Perhaps the rear seats are removeable in the C1? If not its pointless

I saw one of those Ligier micro cars the other day. It was like a SMART, but half as long. I think they're powered by a scooter or small motorbike engine. Damn thing was visibly vibrating as it sat at the traffic lights so vibration white finger must surely be on the cards for owners of these quirky French offerings.

Those micro cars are usually two stroke and most can't go faster than 50mph. What is the point? Even my Deuche can reach the motorway speed limit!
