I doubt the piece of plastic holding the cable to the floor will cause an issue with the air bag light, but an intermittent loose connection in the plug and socket almost certainly will. Check for a good electrical connection within. Look...

That dent on the wing looks like an easy fix for a paintless dent remover. You could call it polishing on steroids.

I’d bet but they could Mr. B-R but it’s not really financially viable. IIRC from the other week’s clean up and detailing, the tiny holes in the paintwork on the bonnet extend onto the top of the wing.

I'm sorting through some stuff and have found some wheels that were on my Landy. They are 6.5 16 to suit the 750 tyres for trialling. I thought they were standard LWB rims but apparently not due to the 3 nipples on the outer face that would carry a hub cap. The 2 with tyres are slighlty different but have the same offset as far as I can see. I've...

I have the opportunity tomorrow to buy a Ford Mondeo Titanium X Business Edition which apparently has a PSA diesel unit in it.

Unsurprising to learn that because it has got, wait for it...

I look after about 10 French cars for various friends and neighbours, then yesterday a mate bought a V50 Volvo and asked me to put a timing belt on it, I thought great, a new challenge and something different........
Opened the bonnet and it has a PSA 2.0 HDI engine the same as my own C5!!

Reminiscent of the Mehari of ages past, but I don't like the upright windscreen. I can't see this being very aerodynamic and being vertical, is less likely to deflect any debris obstacles from the road, so possibly less safe...

I owned this car from Jan 97 to March 2013, it one of the first batch of the series 2 cars and was still a demo car when I bought it!

For those that don't know, 2G & 3G networks are being phased out in the UK by 2033. As there are limited frequencies that can be used, they are getting rid of the old to make more room for the 4G and 5G and beyond.

Some providers are not waiting to 2033 though:
Vodafone, are killing their 3G network by December 2023.
EE (and therefore Plusnet...

Fair enough, but WHY remove the diesel bleeder bulb :evil:

And WHY mess up the Status Quo with Ford cruddy plastics and metal pipes that get in the way of EVERYTHING all the way to the intercooler? Even changing the oil filter is a drag....

and according to the website Usually, tire tread life expectancy for passenger car tires is 50,000 to 80,000 miles

The way I use my cars and the distance I travel, mine are replaced on a time basis or when the sidewall cracks become a concern...

I don't even think cracks are a concern for yours Jim, you tend to stay away from relativistic speeds...

Finally got around to giving the car a thorough wash yesterday, first time it's been warm enough, looked out this morning and it's covered in a film of fine gritty sand, going to have to get the hose out again. :x

I can never quite believe the volume of teeny tiny gravel chippings that seem to accumulate in the footwell! And always as many under the mats as on them!

It's almost like the material that eventually becomes potholes somehow magically migrates inside your car... They have a life of their own and are afraid of the light, hence their liking for...

My skoda yeti went in for an mot yesterday, not to my usual tester as he is unavailable for a few weeks. It failed on a broken front spring, which is ok. The spring is now replaced. What has pissed me off though, is the advisories that are noted, which makes it look like my 9 year old car, which is low mileage and immaculate look like an uncared...

I went to preview a model car auction today with Jim and we were both very impressed with the quality and range of models coming up in Saturday's sale at Excalibur Auctions in Kings Langley. There is a link below to the full catalogue.

We went through all the lots which included Citroens and came up with a basic list of what model is in which lot...

May not achieve too much....

,,,but... instead of installing/upgrading petrol pumps at every forecourt in the country which seems a bit bizarre, installing even a single electric charging point at most petrol forecourts would be some step towards avoiding the searching for a working chargepoint routine a far better transistion proposal.

Just before Christmas our two laptops dies with googats hard drives. One is dead. Finito. Pining for the Fjords. The other has a corrupted boot sector but will still work as a data collector so a suitable caddy has been bought.

We bought one but Imdecided to be clever so ordered an SSD (bang goes...

I wonder if re-partitioning the old HDD might sort out the boot sector problem? The manufacturers know that sectors can fail over time, and so they they make them with extra capacity to allow for failed sectors to be 'swapped out' (for want of a better explanation).

I plugged in the 3008 last night to check that my updated version of Diagbox was working (as I have to do the Eolys on my Sister's car, and have said I will program a radio VIN for someone else). All works fine and no problems with dialogue with the car, but... there is no P1351 glow plug fault recorded!! How can that be, there must be something...
