I love that
Desirable 6.3 litre, disc braked example
6.3 litre? Really? You'd need a fourth pension to keep that in petrol :rofl2:

If I still had my workshop and a bottomless bank account I'd have loved to give it a go!! Sadly neither are available but I've got SWMBO so I'll live with it!! :-D

I think you just have to look at the Scale used for the little graph of Sales at Auction of the Facel Vega Marque to realise that the "no reserve" bit isn't going to result in that car being picked up for a bargain basement price.

List of all Facel Vega's sold at all of the major and minor classics auctions over the last 10 years or so as recorded on the Glenmarch Website

Facel Vega (all models)

HK500 Model specifically

In May 2020 At Silverstone Auctions "this cosmetically damaged by fire" car sold for £63,800

So, on that basis, your bank account really would need to be bottomless Mick!

Be most interesting to see how much it goes for...

Thinking about it my accountant once told me that "your account holds no water Mick" so maybe it is bottomless after all? :-D

It was in my accountant's office that I first encountered the now classic sign: "You don't have to be mad to work here, but it sure does help!!" :-D

I was speaking very tongue in cheek... I once did quite a bit of accountancy in my varied career and you all know how my sense of humour works ;)
