I don't have knowledge of the Peugeot, but the issue of a loose connection is known with several makes of car.
I doubt the piece of plastic holding the cable to the floor will cause an issue with the air bag light, but an intermittent loose connection in the plug and socket almost certainly will. Check for a good electrical connection within. Look...

Now i know GSF have been given a bit of stick lately for their website and i will be the first to admit its still not great, when typing in the Activa's reg number it gives me a whole raft of parts it says are compatable that clearly are not and their sphere position discriptions are a little lacking, for instance stating the accumulator position...

Ok come on take the pi**, had one of these when I was about 21 in blue with grey trim. Loved it was a really advanced motor in my eyes and at 21 was a lux motor to have (for me).
Colour coded plastic bumpers, metric tyres, fuel injection, 5 speed, electric chrome covered door mirrors, wipers that sort of hide like the C5, I could go on.

Great camera, not cheap but get what you pay for, nice thing is being able to stick the SD card in your phone and watch footage (unless your an Apple fan) should the need arise at the road side.

Long and short of it, some clown scraped along the nsf wing of the 106 in a car park today. Was facing forwards (outwards) against the wall so it was the car on the left that did it.

Of course, when I phoned (did not notice till I got home) they said any camera's were operated by another shop in the same car park, rang them eventually got through...

If only the parking spaces were as big as the ones that can be found in Costco, they appear to be to done to American sizes.

Then it would allow the bigger cars/ 4 X 4 tanks that it appears are driven by those least capable of actually driving them, with any degree of competance, would then have more room...

Just changed mine for four of the same KHUMO's. Now I change mine at approx 3mm as I believe anything less reduces braking distances and grip. Sure my old tyres would serve someone who does low miles for some years.

Im glad your pleased with them Mike, I am with mine, very good value for money. Wet grip is really what I look for in a tyre, I don't care if a tyre only lasts 5K, so long as its good in the wet :lol: I do find these Matadors fairly good in bad weather, ive done 3,000 miles on with them on the front of my XM and they still look like new.

I'm pondering this one, electrolytics specifically.

I presume that the few seen in most ECUs are there for the characteristics they impart to a circuit, rather than any other reason.

What are the odds, that in an older ECU they are suffering from dried-up electrolyte and no longer possess exactly the qualities needed? As in, would one replace...

That is a common failure mode with large value electrolytics if they haven't been used for a prolonged time. In those circumstances they should be reformed by gradually increasing the voltage across them until normal working volatage is reached. Otherwise they are liable to draw excessive current when suddenly woken up, then they can short out...

I think people are aware of it but more details here. To be fair these things tend to be strongly resisted in France but with the world economy as it is it may mostly go through. Seems a lot of losses in R&D so maybe less stylish cars in future ?

Just had a look Malcolm and laid my hands on the October 2011 Edition (the latest edition's aren't here at home).

Says on the front Car Values from 1999-2011 so obviously no BX in there... So it definitely won't be in the May 2012 book either...

Spotted this on the CCC:
French car giant PSA Peugeot Citroën is expected to announce the closure of its historic Paris plant at Aulnay-sous-Bois, spelling deep trouble for the 3,300 strong workforce and the already disadvantaged surrounding region.

The scale of the “disaster” will become clear in the coming days, with PSA Peugeot Citroën...

Barclays....got out of them years ago & in particular Barclaycard who used to lose my on time cheque payments & try to charge me interest. But aren't they all the same & have we just seen the tip of the iceberg... bank robbery.jpg

Ive been putting the posh stuff in my 95 xantia 1.9 td. The total excerlince one. What ever its called at 145.9 i think. The normal stuff cost 137.9.
I havernt nticed any differnce. Ive only put 30 pund in. Same as what i normally put in.
I remenber putting it in my 406 1.9 diesle. It seem to rev higher. And it did seem to accerate a bit quicker....

Rudolph originally intended his engine to run on coal dust, it was a political economic thing due to the abundance of coal. Obviously he ran into difficulty with abrasion !
Common rail diesels are very clever indeed now, they even have more than one injection event per combustion stroke !! There is pre, main and post injection all with varying...

How many left accuracy

I always keep an eye out on how many left rgarding numbers of Zx16v's that are left on the road/sorn , the latest numbers are 18 registered for the road for this quarter down from 22 for the last quarter and 34 on sorn which is 6 down on the last quarter,these are getting to a very low level now and finding body related parts for the 16v proving...

And they make cars up, for instance there are a few Xantia 1000cc furio's on the road, not an accurate site at all to be onest a lot of stuff is badly recorded.

Indeed, if not the same thing it lists a few 1.0 Turbo Xantias, which are still on the road. How!?

There must be some truth in the figures but they need to be taken with a pinch of...

Got to work and parked in front of wall, left in gear with engine running and you guessed it took foot of the clutch.

Got to get a paint man to repair the corner on the bumper, doh!!!

Thankfully I was in my least cherished car. Reversed up the lane to fetch a missing wheel trim. Got a phone call as I was about to get out, distracted.... failed to move the shifter from R to P (it's an auto)...........................

change country at the bottom right corner on the page then use your usual log in details in the two bocx's at the top left of the screen, then click Conexion now go to the usual point to select free service's

Here's one for the boffins.

I have received the HDi calipers bought from GadgetGricey and they (inevitably, after twelve years in the UK) need a refurb. There is a sample of their original finish under the handbrake boots; I am not sure if its cadmium or passivated zinc.

I'm assuming their parent metal is large and soft enough that hydrogen...

If the part is marked with an label for dangerous goods we have to
send them with an specific forwarder.
The costs i dont know for that.
Can anyone tell me please, if current production genuine Citroën spheres have a dangerous goods warning on them? I'm just wary of buying something, then being told it will be triple the forecast...
