Post by waynedance »

Ok had the car for a while but today had to hit the brakes and the hazards came on, does this brake assist thing put the brakes on more?

By God it does too. I have only had it happen twice and the first time I was extremely impressed. Wouldn't have been here if it weren't for the brake assist but it resolved a dangerous situation elegantly and undramatically.

With very rapid deceleration the hazards are also activated but not the brake assist.

So the brake assist does apply more pressure?

Do the hazards switch themselves off as I carried on driving and switched them of via the switch?

Yes, lots of it.

They self-cancel after a few minutes.

Loving all the tech, my old MK2 Mondeo has ABS & traction but the C5 oozes gizmos, ABS, ESP, TC, brake assist, anything missed?

What kind of cam are you using, I think I'd like one of those!

Auto hazards are great fun. My Mégane's cancel as soon as you accelerate again.

Great camera, not cheap but get what you pay for, nice thing is being able to stick the SD card in your phone and watch footage (unless your an Apple fan) should the need arise at the road side.
