Given the number of 'After-sales campaign' notices concerning Takarta Airbags I have been made aware of when looking up parts from PSA for members, I thought I would post a link to the following documentary that may be informative concerning the issue with these igniters.

According to Takata, the chemicals in the airbags’ explosive charge can...

Disruption to Parts Service

As you may be aware, the consolidation of the old PSA to the Stellantis Group systems has resulted in both a merge of data tools and a requirement to migrate PSA accounts to Stellantis Systems.

This has caused some problems for organisations like ours and the Team are currently looking at the best way forward. This...

Hi everyone

I have just joined, and it's time for me to publically admit I am rather fond of French cars! As well as Italian and Swedish but that's another matter...

Took a huge gamble today and purchased my third Citroën, which is a C6. From an auction, and I had seen it for about 20 seconds. What could possibly go wrong?! Well, plenty it...

About to emigrate....

by DeanMor » 29 Oct 2022, 12:01

Hello

I'll be emigrating to the UK in Feb '23 and I'm fairly certain, after substantial research, that I'd very much like to get a C3 picasso, in diesel.

My family will be joining me several months later as I've been elected to head into the wilds of the UK and secure the kindness of the natives, lodging, transport and food security of some...

Welcome from me too Dean, I echo Jim's comments about my South African connections too. I had a business partner for 3 years from Zimbabwe and he eventually realised that in our business at the time, electronic security, he could make more money in S. Africa than here because of the rising demand. So he went in 2005 and now has a very successful...

Hi guys!

I've been reading this forum for awhile, but until now I had no troubles with my car. Unfortunately that changed, so, maybe that will force me to socialize a bit more :)

Hi rabble. Just a quick note to let you know I’m here. Hi everyone as you might guess we don’t join these forum for fun most times. So here we go I’m looking at buying a lexia3 pp2000 for resetting some of the bits on the motor. Ie the fuel adaptive pump and levels are these any good for this. Cheers

Hi, on my second C4 Picasso Grand and previously many moons ago owned a Renault 25 ( sorry but the worst car I have ever owned ) I have posted my first post here :

My C4 is my only car and has been very reliable up to now but would buy another without a shout but probably petrol ( I don’t buy all this EV hype …Synthetic fuel is the way forward )...

Hi, folks.

Just acquired French car number 4 (C4 Picasso), having been a Skoda driver for many years. Can I say Skoda on here?! I thought I might give you esteemed experts a pop quiz.

Yeah, thinking abut it, over 25 years, the car history for spouse and I goes: Vauxhall, Peugeot, Renault, Ford, Rover, Peugeot, Skoda, Skoda, Citroën.

See you in...

Hi and welcome to the forum. Enjoy your time here.

Even if you move away your Citroen there are plenty of non-motoring related threads in The Off-topic Lounge section. Not that there's anything to stop you posting there while you still have the Citroen of course!

Hi All,

I tried to introduce myself when I registered with the forum, but something went wrong, I don't know. Until now, I enjoyed the technical discussions even though I didn't have any serious problems -I'm a car enthusiast, as I'll describe in a bit. :)

Hailing from Turkey, I'm an engineer by trade, and a car enthusiast. I worked as an R&D...

Hi and welcome. I can thoroughly recommend the Off Topic Lounge. You won't be interested in everything there but it's a nice diversion from normal car related themes.

Having said that, I'm looking forward to some of your car posts.

Thanks for the welcome and the tips! And here you are, sir/lady/what you'd prefer: :)

Hi everyone,

I'm Julian and have stumbled across this forum thanks to Google and my issue with my Pug 407. So pleased that this forum is here and it looks like it has a wealth of information available.

I'm now off to find a rabbit hole to see if I can find how to update my firmware......

I hope I don't get lost.

Cheers :-)

Newbie saying Hi!

by OldFeckledPen » 22 Sep 2022, 17:40

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum, but not new to French cars. Own three fab French motors at the moment. A 207 SW HDI, A C4 B7 HDI, and a C5 X7 HDI. I've owned loads of French cars over the years, starting with Citroen Visa GT back in the early 90's, followed by BX GTI, Visa GTI, Synergie, C3, and then the three I have now.

Must admit that I need...

Glow Plugs

by AEROBAT » 16 Sep 2022, 20:21

First post

My 1.9d HDI has been hard to start for some time. It cranks for some time then starts ok but lots white smoke, strong deisell smell. Runs fine when started. I decided to try and find out the reason. I checked all the glow plugs all OK. I then checked to see if there was any supply to them and I found that there was no supply when first turning the...

Last post

OK, on a 2.0 HDi the plugs are only used pre-start in pretty cold conditions, switch on once the engine starts is normal to help cold start emissions. I think some other issue is underpinning the problem. Do you know if it is a Siemens injection system? These are fussy about the cranking speed, so a poor starter leading to slow cranking could be...
