Given the number of 'After-sales campaign' notices concerning Takarta Airbags I have been made aware of when looking up parts from PSA for members, I thought I would post a link to the following documentary that may be informative concerning the issue with these igniters.

According to Takata, the chemicals in the airbags’ explosive charge can...

Disruption to Parts Service

As you may be aware, the consolidation of the old PSA to the Stellantis Group systems has resulted in both a merge of data tools and a requirement to migrate PSA accounts to Stellantis Systems.

This has caused some problems for organisations like ours and the Team are currently looking at the best way forward. This...

Megane front wing

Bolted on like most euro boxes. I'd go for out of pocket expense rather than insurance. Once had the drivers door on a Rover 216 GTI kicked in by some pr*t. Paid £45 to get it repaired. There's loads of motor factors who do new panels. Spray paint don't cost too much these days.

Both do not work. Have checked fuses and all OK. Switch in dashboard lights up when pressed and I can hear heated rear window relay switch engaging. This did coincide with heater blower motor breaking. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

25 heater motor

I think it is a brush motor in which case the brushes might be worn to a state where they work intermittently. Could also be terminals which need to be cleaned or secured. Looks like you have some contorting to look forward to!

HELP just when the weather gets cold the heater motor on my old
faithful seems to have gone up the creek!
I dont think it is the motor as sometimes it will burst into life
and work for a while. Has anyone out there got a clue.

Quickie - Sump plug socket size Clio 1.4?

by beezer » 15 Nov 2004, 20:16

The size is 8mm square and you should get a tool to fit your ratchet from most accessory suppliers (the big 'H' included). There should be a copper washer fitted.

Hi all
Apologies in advance for dulllard question. We're trying to change the oil on my friend's Clio 1.4 Sport, R-plate. I can't, for the life of me, figure out the fitting on the sump plug. It's an internal fitting, we've tried all the sizes I have but none seem to fit. I can't see the plug clearly, as it's quite far back and I'm not sticking my...

1997 Scenic 2.0 RXE Auto

This would appear to be a fault with the ECU and I would guess it is not adjusting the mixture to compensate for a cold engine. From what I can gather, the engine should idle at 750rpm whether hot or cold. The idle is adjusted automatically. Much as I resent taking cars to main dealers, it looks like this is the way forward.

Last post

I have recently bought a scenic which drives great when it is warmed up, when I try to start it in the morning when it is cold it takes a couple of attempts to get it running. When it eventualy does fire up the engine only ticks over at about 750rpm, so when I engage the auto gearbox the revs drop and the engine dies. To pull away I have to...

Clio heater probs

Sounds like there is something loose in the control switch. You could get some cleaner from Maplin and try that. I would be looking for a scrap.

Hi
The heater on my '95 clio oasis turns itself on and off, that adjusting the temperature knob sometimes switches it back on other times it won't work at all. Any ideas what the prob could be with this intermittent fault.
Much obliged.

1996 Laguna 2.2 Diesel, strange noise?!

by danny_blair » 12 Nov 2004, 14:12

Hello,
I've just recently purchased my Laguna and in general, I am very happy with it. The car has a good ride, comfortable to drive and good on diesel economy - especially compared to my last vehicle, a 1985 VW Camper!
I have some concerns about a noise I am hearing, and wonder if anyone has any experience with this. At low RPM - between about...

GSF sell shafts for the Scenic. Breaker depends on where you are or try www.carparts-uk.com - sounds like you need a new lock mechanism for the door but it could be a rod come loose from handle.

espace electric fault

I think the heater is a red herring indeed. It is possible a dash bulb has melted to cause a short circuit. It could also be wiring or printed circuit done the same. These things can be difficult to track down. You could start by gaining access to the dash bulbs and removing them one by one with a test meter bridging the fuse terminals (lights on)...

hello all, hope you may be able to help.
The problem is this (accroding to my sister, havn't personally looked at the car yet), the lights on the dash board dont work (speedo works fine). There is a fuse that is blown, but just blows straight away once it is replaced. My sister seems to think the problem may be related to the heaters becasue they...
