The other day the sound from my tape/radio player just stopped. The radio channels remain on the display, but I can't get any sound, nor can I change balance or treble/bass. I have removed the unit to check the connections, which all seem fine. I also removed the 2 fuses from the fuse box (radio power and pre-sets memory). After 24 hours I put them back in, re-entered the code, and it worked! The next morning, however, back to silence again!! Something similar happened a few years ago, and it seemed to mend itself when I refitted the radio at a slightly different angle - could there be an earth problem?
