25 heater motor

HELP just when the weather gets cold the heater motor on my old
faithful seems to have gone up the creek!
I dont think it is the motor as sometimes it will burst into life
and work for a while. Has anyone out there got a clue.

I think it is a brush motor in which case the brushes might be worn to a state where they work intermittently. Could also be terminals which need to be cleaned or secured. Looks like you have some contorting to look forward to!
