Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

That just reminded me that here in France I've seen parking meters in a shopping area which are free for a preset small period.

What are your sounds when you are in the car (apart from dash squeaks, rattles & for me the K&N)?
I find I drive according to the music speed so if I put on any heavy metal I become Ayrton Senna & if it is something like Shirley Bassey I pootle along like a pensioner.

Can anyone recommend a glue that they've experience with that works well on high glass fibre content plastic ? There ws always a good one to use 'back in the day' that was good at sticking Xantia door mirrors back on - but the name escapes me :(
I've got a couple of non-structural 5-10mm dia rods that I need to stick back together.

to the day, postman brought a penalty notice for £100 for overstaying in the Home Bargains car park in Monmouth.
Contacted Home Bargains, they said Don't talk to us take it up with the parking company.
As I was only doing a good deed by taking a disabled pensioner to their shop I reckon the have lost a regular customer, I won't be doing it again.

in the close today, builder neighbour working on his own house fell off the scaffold onto his mate and the scaffold collapsed on both of them, mate unhurt builder a big lump on his head and concussed, ambulance here for an hour, both declined hospital treatment.

The man in my post did actually in the end go in the ambulance and x-rays at the hospital found he'd broken a bone in his back and likely to be five months of healing needed. :(

.....Yes Danish Bacon used to advertise itself with its own name dye stamped on its product, eggs used to have a little lion logo on them, and we were encouraged to go to work on an egg . There was even radio active ready brek but whats going on in 2019...........

I've had some bad experiences with automatic stop-start features, and it's just through pure luck that I've not been in an accident. However it seems to have proliferated like a virus. There should be a way to disable this nasty feature permanently, however most cars that support it only have a temporary disable button.

How many AA Boxes are left in the Country?

Well there are 19, eight of which are grade II listed include this particularly nice one 746, which I reversed back to, got out of the car and took a photo of on our holidays!

Well apologies straight away for going off-category already but my crop of first cars doesn't include a single French Car.

Quite a rare beast that one, what I recall about the Vanguard was the damned column change always just a bit wrong and very difficult to adjust, a good engine though used in a lot of stuff including farm tractors run on TVO.

On Friday evening approaching a roundabout I nearly collided with a car I hadn't seen, thought he must have come from the right while my chatty passenger was rabbiting on braked quite hard, she said Was that your fault?
