Hi All - I have a 5008 2L Diesel, and for some time have had issues with the RT6 radio corrupting and then triggering U1118, and having to reset it using the CD (then restorng using Mirascript) - Recently this happened 2 days before the MOT, and the Radio would not re-install (it just got into a loop and got very hot) - The failure of the RT6...

Hi all,

Could really do with some help/advice. we spent two years converting our van and after 3 weeks of use the engine gave up back in May.
A garage in the south of France has replaced the engine but has not been able to start the van except once where it cut out almost instantly back in July.

They worked out the ECU was not communicating...

Just bought a 1996 P406, with 2.0L petrol engine. Car is in good condition and just inspected, but a mechanic fixing brake lights happened to see unplugged wire, and put it in. Well, this wire was keypad connector which was disconnected to prevent the need to input pin code in every start. This has been used for years, and now when car wants the...

Hi, I've just acquired a 2012 308 cc on which the roof doesn't operate, but most notably the operating switch does not illuminate either, so I suspect an electrical fault initially. Where to start? No manual so which fuse please? Any other suggestions?
Many thanks
Kenny

Just wondering if anyone has installed an inline thermostat to avoid replacing the block mounted thermostat housing when stuck in the open position?

I dont have the time or tools to gain access and replace the stock thermostat housing, also quoted £300 for the job to be done, not to mention the hassle of connecting the rear return correctly.

I...

Hello everyone,

I’d like to ask for some advice.

Since I replaced my BSI unit with a newer one (from 2016 berlingo), I noticed an interesting option in the BSI configuration: “continued braking after 2 seconds when starting off from a certain speed.” I’ve set this option to YES, but it doesn’t seem to work.

I have a Peugeot 308 T7 SW 2009, 1.6...

Hi I’ve recently purchased a Peugeot expert 2017 with the 1.6 engine diesel. It’s have a service about 500 miles ago and I’m getting a problem saying low oil level. Peugeot 407 2005, 2.2 petrol manual (6D3FZE, 158 hp).
The car runs poorly at idle and often stalls when idling. Idle is unstable and the engine “grunts” like a pig. 😊 At higher RPM the engine runs reasonably well and the car can be driven, as long as it’s not allowed to return to idle.
The following actions and tests have been performed, but the...

Hello everyone,

I am looking for technical assistance regarding a wiring/pinout issue on my 1998 Peugeot 406 (2.0 Petrol). I am stuck with a permanent Stop Contactor (Brake Switch) fault in the TCU, causing the transmission to go into Limp Mode (Sport/Snow lights flashing).

Hello,

I have a 2015 Peugeot Expert 2.0 hdi that has started to idle at about 1250 rpm, but if I press the brake pedal, the revs drop back to normal. Also if I switch the engine off for a minute or 2 it seems to reset itself. Sometimes I can drive for about half an hour before it starts doing it again or sometimes it will only go for 10 minutes...

Why does the alarm STOP light, on the dashboard, flash on a Peugeot 206 1998 1.1, if there is no fault that causes this light to come on? This flashing is usually associated with the temperature indicator, which rises to red, (for no reason), and this lasts for half a minute to a minute, and when the temperature indicator begins to drop sharply to...

Hi all.
My reliable old 2012 Partner HDi has decided to become less reliable. It has recently started throwing P1621 errors and dropping into limp mode very regularly. According to my reader the error is Control Unit. Software Redundancy Fault At The Injection. Safety Level 2 . My first thought (based on Software Redundancy Fault and some basic...

Hi all,
This is my first post so apologies if i'm in the wrong area.

My 407 SW Sport 140 HP has a cooling fan loom that has a 4 pin connector behind the front bumper. Just purchased a replacement from euspares but the fan has a 3 pin connector. Everything else is the same. All the fans I have looked at have 3 pin connectors. Is it because I have...

Hello

I was wondering if anyone in the Peugeot community in the south east, could recommend somwhere that could replace the oil in an EAT8 gearbox?

I've got a 2019 DS 7 on 82k miles with the Puretech 1.6 EAT8 setup seen in a lot of Peugeots- and wondered if anyone had managed to arrange for a garage to undertake the job in Kent/Surrey/London?...

Hi.

I've posted some questions regarding my AL4 auto gearbox woes in the Renault forum, however, I see that there is a great deal of conversation/knowledge in the Citroen and Peugeot forums on the subject so the link to my post is below in case anyone would like to take a look and see if they can help me out.

Thanks in advance.

My friend unfortutately seems to have had a major engine failure on her 1.6hdi (DV6C 9HR ~120k)
Loud knocking from the bottom end.
I suspect it may have had dpf delete- tailpipe sooty.
Any ideas about the cause or how to avoid same happening with my 1.6hdi engine with similar mileage?

Hello, the car arrived recently. I don't know much about its characteristics, but it was in poor condition when it arrived. The engine was shaking, the exhaust was very inefficient, had a terrible, eye-sore smell, and the car had very poor power and traction. The car was burning about 20 liters of fuel per 75 km/h. Let me explain what I did to the...

Hello, I'm looking for a wiring diagram between the BSI and front panel with the buttons for RT6 RNEG2 unit. The front panel is separated and it controls the clima also.
I found here in the forum similar schematics but in that case the BSI is another model with two 60 pins connectors, mine is with 3 x 40 pins ( blue, white and black ).
What is all...

I changed the Peugeot 3008 full led headlight settings manually height and horizontal lighting settings. Now how can I return to the factory settings again. How do I manually adjust the headlight cut lines.

Guys, my only runner, 66 reg 2008 gt-line has thrown up a 'P2049 reductant injector valve high bank1' error. First time error. Any idea what this could be, sensor?? Somebody out there with the knowledge and its not me! Not yet anyways .... :-D

Does anyone have a part number for the hose going into the slave cylinder of a Peugeot Boxer with a 2.2 HDi?

I've just replaced the clutch and when bleeding the clutch the pedal won't return and I can see that instead of the system holding pressure it leaks out of the bleed nipple. Note it's a plastic slave cylinder where the hose coming from...

I have just changed the CAT on a 2009 1.4. The old one came off easily enough and rattled so it was end of life. Anyway, it is all went back together fine except the flexi connection is blowing. The new cat came with a fancy looking 2 part clamp, a gasket that seats between the 2 pipes and an outer ring that clamps it all down.

can some1 tell me why im getting this error.

As per the title, I'm looking for the wiring diagram for our 406 cooling fans. Will grab the VIN if anyone might have access to the right one.

The fault I'm chasing is intermittently the fan will turn on and run the battery flat while parked. I've a feeling this was also a common Xantia problem and maybe to do with the Bitron relay, am I on the...

Hi All
I’m hoping someone maybe able tell me what the plate is for above the flywheel in the attached photo, if I remove it I’m presuming it will leak coolant? Any help would much appreciated. IMG_1566.jpeg IMG_1591.jpeg IMG_3611.jpeg

Hello I havd a Peugeot 207 2011 1.4 petrol Envy.

Struggling to get this plastic tab off and do not want to break it. It twists around about 90 degrees in each direction but not 360 degrees. Its also not coming off when I pull it.

In the official service plan for my peugeot boxer they list a number of specific things that needs doing, but it also says that systematic tasks should be done every two years / 20.000 km.

What exactly do they mean by this?

I assume it's something that is not specified on the list, but could it be only oil + filter change?

Here is the full...

Im changing the springs on the front of my 308 and the replacements have one end that is flat and the other end is angled, do the springs have a specific orientation

I made the stupid mistake of buying a 2019 peugeot boxer with a knocking engine thinking I could either put new shells in it or buy a good engine.

Life took a turn (I got a full time job) which left me with vey little time so I contacte an engine rebuild company who said they could do it but didn't know when as they already had a huge queue of...

Hi guys,

I've recently replaced intake manifold gasket with Victor Reinz one (0348.V7 catalogue part) along with injector seals. Still having some smoking from that part so I suspect 0348.V7 O-ring might be the culprint. I didn't know about it before I started so I left the old one.

My confusion is that Victor Reinz supplies only the seal...

Hello all

Any tips on how to remove these from a Peugeot 308cc? No bolt but not sliding out.

Hello everyone,
I’m Have on a Peugeot 508 SW II from 2020 (BlueHDi 163, VIN: vr3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]******76) that recently lost multiple functions at the same time — high beams, horn, washers, mirror indicators, interior dome light, and several HVAC functions stopped working.

Hi, I have the issue in my 2016 508 1.6 Diesel where intermittently, I get ABS, ESP, Anti Rollback and parking brake alarms coming on. When I switch off the car for a little while, the faults are gone. I had some other intermittent faults with doors and Electrical Fault service car or something similar. I bought the car last October and this...

Now that the car is secured by means of the windows having gone back up, I can turn attention to the reason why the car was towed instead of driven home. It doesn’t start. And it doesn’t even crank. There is nothing that comes out of the engine.

In the other thread, I posted some pictures from Diagbox that I believe show something other than the...

Good morning, I own a Peugeot 207 cc 1.6 vti, I am writing to you from Spain.

Hi all,
All advise appreciated on this issue. I have a 2012 2.0 hdi 163bhp that when fully warmed up will sit with a high idle of around 1300RPM. This reduces to normal idle (800rpm) when the brake pedal is pressed but goes back to 1300rpm when released. It will also drive at this rpm when the accelerator pedal is not pressed i.e. 50mph in 6th...

Hi All,
I recently purchased a new Peugeot Expert 1.5 diesel van. It's my first van that requires adblue. At about 6,000 klm I got a dashboard notice that adblue was required so I topped it up. After a short drive the adblue dash light went out so all ok. As I approached 10,000 klm I was presented with a count down informing me how many kilometers...

Hi Guys,
I am new here and have this PEUGEOT BOXER 335 L3 H2 2.2 BLUE HDI 140 VAN.
I installed a cruise control lever as the VAN did not have it before.
I am looking for any app/tool for enabling/programming the new lever to the vehicle.
Any idea?
Thanks a million

Hello all,
Oddly I didn't find much on the Puretech engine here. Probably didn't search properly. ;)
I own a 2018 5008 with the 130hp 1.2 and as someone who purchased her only a year ago, am fully aware of the history of issues with this engine. As such, I change the oil every 10k km and check the belt. This time when checking the width of the...

Hi Everyone

First post.

I've got a 2.0 bluehdi 180 Traveller. I'm running lowering springs but the dampers are not firm enough.

I've noticed that the Bilstein 47-329485 is listed for the
Expert 2.0 Bluehdi 180
Traveller 1.5 Bluehdi 100

But not the 180 Traveller. I find this strange. The expert must be in the same ballpark for weight. The...
