I doubt the piece of plastic holding the cable to the floor will cause an issue with the air bag light, but an intermittent loose connection in the plug and socket almost certainly will. Check for a good electrical connection within. Look...

Mike, they come back fully refurbished and indeed, as Steve say, the rubber bits are completely replaced with polyurethane.

XUD Engine Build Problems

I've just finished building up an XUD. I started with a block with a crank already installed (didn't disturb this as it was low mileage). Pistons and rings all went back into the same cylinders they came out of (everything was cleaned ultra sonically). New OE con rod shells were fitted. Everything lubed up with new engine oil when assembled and...

chaps, I need to do a CV boot on a 306 tomorrow.. TD..

I am faced with three choices..
a glue together
a pullover
or an OE ish item..

the latter requires taking the cv joint apart, and I can say that is a job I have never tried.. is it fairly straightforward? some circlip pliers, a drift and a few rollers falling out?
what would you go for?.....

Ideally suited to lawn bowls. (I play skittles, it's just a bit noisier). Shooting is second choice. Last time I fired a shotgun I was knocked over backwards by the recoil. I was only 8 at the time. third choice, netball. I'd probably be ok if it was a ladies team.

I've now taken the XM off the road and taken it off insurance cover (transferred to the C1).

As cars have to be continuously insured and my XM is now not should I declare SORN?

Also, should I now cash in the tax disc or can I leave it and perhaps sell the remaining tax to an new owner?

Seller suggested £600 post to Australia, I read that as CBF . :lol:

1. What's the best way of removing the crud left behind by the old gasket?

Hi all

My friends have just had their Ford Escort stolen. It's a white hatchback, very retro with reg no F719 SMK. Mark 3?

They are quite a rare sight On the road now and so should be easy to spot. they are keen to know if it's spotted anywhere. They live in Exeter and was stolen this afternoon. I and they would be very grateful if it's spotted...

locking wheel nut removal

i had to remove a set of these from a customers car, the car is a 54 plate 307 with OE locking nut, my customer bought the car about a year ago,
she bought it to me to service and MOT it,
i went to remove the wheels to discover no wheel nut tool to be found anywhere,

spoke to my customer who didnt even know what a locking wheel nut socket...

I was lucky, got them off the C5 no problem, and they wont be going on again. Whoever had done all the brakes not too long before I bought it had tightened the wheelnuts to correct torque by the feel of taking them off, and had only put the lockers on tight but no more. Makes a change, but ties in with the last owner saying he maintained it...

Vauxhall Meriva came in for service and mot and reports that the oil pressure light comes on in traffic and engine really noisy.

Turns out the owner had not serviced the car for years and 36000 miles. The chain is loose, looks like the tensioner has failed.

sent via andriod power.

Hi guys hope you can help. I have a 57 C4GP Exclusive and have recently changed to springs instead of the air suspension. I thought it would be a good idea to buy lexia3 so I can turn off my service light and recalibrate the clutch. I have lexia up and running on diagbox 7.43. Spot the brake fluid which is included with this purchase, even though it's obviously not needed!

Yes' it's probably in the wrong area, but I don't know if there is a correct one.

I've read that the yellows only came out after Nico reversed back onto the track! He wouldn't have been a danger at the end of the escape road, so why didn't he just stay there?

I bought something on domestic Fleabay; it arrived almost before I'd paid for it. Problem was, I'd been sent someone else's purchase - it was an item of 2/3 the value and had all their buyer details on a picking slip inside. They received mine.

Hi.
Just like to say thanks for all the help I have had with my various Citroen cars from you guys

This is the first time since about 1995 that I haven't owned a Citroen.. If they did a C6 in an estate I might be tempted but at the moment it looks like a Merc E Class estate instead.

Three and a half hours' work to this stage (carpets full of antifreeze and spilled coffee). Will reassemble over next weekend.

Can't figure out how to split the evaporator housing - must be hidden screws somewhere.

You're lucky with your plates.. That plate is impossible in the UK as the letter Z was not used in that format. It is in the new format UK plates...
