Given the number of 'After-sales campaign' notices concerning Takarta Airbags I have been made aware of when looking up parts from PSA for members, I thought I would post a link to the following documentary that may be informative concerning the issue with these igniters.

According to Takata, the chemicals in the airbags’ explosive charge can...

Disruption to Parts Service

As you may be aware, the consolidation of the old PSA to the Stellantis Group systems has resulted in both a merge of data tools and a requirement to migrate PSA accounts to Stellantis Systems.

This has caused some problems for organisations like ours and the Team are currently looking at the best way forward. This...

RT6 FM2?

Hello everyone,

I own Peugeot 307 facelift. Few months ago, I replaced my RT3 with RT6. Since then I have poor FM reception. RT3 had only one FM connection, but RT6 has two, it is bi-tuner (FM1 and FM2). I tried using adapter which splits one antenna to two, but it seems this does not have effect, only FM1 is working.

Also, my car does not have...

Map updates.

by qprdude » 18 Nov 2017, 15:31

First post

Now that I have the latest firmware for my RT6 System, I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation as to where to buy the mapupdates. Buy a CD or Download to USB? Go to Citroen official site or an alternative. Prices seem to vary quite a bit.
Has anyone got good or bad things to say about map update sources?
Most places seem to say 2017, or...

Well done Rick.

Unfortunately not all memory sticks are made equal and the Sandisk ones are notoriously bad - I would never recommend these ever - as I've ost count the number of times people have had issues with them - certainly with automotive systems.

Great News and I hope you get a long with it a little better now :-D

Hi everyone. First, can i just say that having bought my Citroen DS5, I decided to join a dedicated DS5 forum. Oh dear, big mistake. It would appear to be peopled by half-wits, losers, spammers and nasty people. On asking for some advice, I was immediately spammed by some self abuser selling medicines, including --adware link removed--! Complaint to the moderators...

Displaying speed limits for all roads (RT6)

by Y Cymro » 10 Oct 2017, 20:48

First post

On my eMyWay RT6 sat nav, road speed limits are shown only on Motorways which is less than useful as A and B roads are more likely to have fluctuating limits.
Is there a way/upgrade to display them for all roads?
The unit has the latest firmware 2.86 and newest 2017_2 maps.
Thanks

Thanks Marc
I updated the Risk Areas after I recently installed the new maps. With the number of speed cameras used in South Wales I thought it might become annoying but it must warn of only the most frequently used spots so it's ok. I didn't notice it displaying the speed limit when it alerts but I was focussing on looking for the camera so it...

Hi Guy's
Well I am going into Nottingham to night and thought I would use the built in satnav to take me where I want to go. No such luck. I have tried to put the post code in but it is having none of it, so I got some blue tack and stuck my old faithful garmin satnav to the dash ( look's a pig's ear )and that found me a route in seconds.
What I...

Yes Paul, that was what I was referring to earlier. Once the 5 digits are entered, it provides a list of streets or roads, which you can pick and then the number. Of course on an industrial estate it may not have all the unit numbers for example, but is better than doing Country, City, etc. as you say. I find the POI search very useful too, as I...

2011 c5 e-hdi 1.6 egs6. Now we all know what car I drive. Do we think it is poss. to link my own reversing cam. to the myway satnav that came with the car???????

Last post

As I said, there are certain hardware revisions of the MyWay unit and the later e-MyWay which need to have the integrated video chip inside the unit as well as the correct ECU if you are going for an OEM solution. The issue you have is output to the head unit and compatibility, so if you are really determined, then why not consider an over rear...

Agreed, all of this stuff is so integrated these days its probably impossible.

Have you tried to customize the appearance through the menus? You can change the colour scheme - one scheme more or less matches the main instrument panel. And there are map options - 3D, 2D and a couple of variations. And you can choose which types of POI show up....

Well today's job is to fit a reversing camera to my 2011 c5 e-hdi 1.6 egs6 car. What I would like to ask is where do I connect the positive and negative from the camera to the car. I have the boot lid liner out and was just as mystified . Any one please.

Sorry,I ended up with a 2011 C5 1.6 e-hdi vtr +nav with the egs6 gearbox. Now the strange bit (my next door neighbor bought the 2009 2ltr hdi vtr+ )is I have not noticed the drop from 2ltr to 1.6 ltr. The car has 16 inch instead or the 17 inch that my other car had and it makes a massive difference to the ride in a very good way. The car comes the...

There were 2.77, 2.80, 2.85 & the latest 2.86 ... nothing worth mentioning, some bug fixes and stability issues (which mostly target hybrid cars like the DS5 & RXH), no new functionalities. You usually don't lose anything by upgrading, but I honestly don't know of anyone who actually benefited with the upgrades

Coming from an Audi A6, the only part of my C5 i want to updated is the sound systems.

A few question:

What is the best route to improve the sound quality?
Can someone recommend a company who could take on the work if required?
