Hi I have a 2016 (July) 3008 auto 1600 Hdi Blue machine and generally it is good, apart from the lack of DAB. I have added a separate adapter that transmits on 87.5MHz and it is OK mostly. The problem is lack of signal from the screen stick-on antenna. The radio is the RT6 NAV version.
As an electronics engineer I thought maybe I can spilt one of the 3 antenna inputs from the radio to get some decent DAB signals. The problem I have is that there are 3 leads and the antenna is amplified (I believe).
Does anyone have any information about the connections? I think that one is SatNav, one is AM and possibly FM whist the other is FM only. Maybe the latter is just for RDS? Some or all are 12V powered, but that is not an issue if I can find which is which.
The VIN is: VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Any help would be appreciated.
Maybe not so new RT6 question

Re: Maybe not so new RT6 question
Don't expect to get good reception as DAB uses different frequencies and FM aerials are not ideal:
Long Wave - 148 to 283 kHz = 2020m to 1058m
Medium Wave - 526 to 1606 kHz = 570m to 187m
VHF/FM - 88 to 108 MHz = 3.4m to 2.8m (= Band II)
DAB - 175 to 230 MHz = 1.7m to 1.3m (= Band III)
On the back of the RT6:
The White connector is for FM1 & AM
The Grey connector is for FM2
The Blue is for GPS
In the following diagram, you only have the following parts fitted:
1) Aerial
2) Aerial Base
3) Radio Aerial Adapter
4) N/A
5)Aerial Cable (AM-FM1 / FM2 / GPS // DASHBOARD ZONE // ISO CONNECTION - DASHBOARD/STR CONNECTION LINK)
6) N/A
7) Aerial Cable (PASS COMPART ZONE // AM-FM1 / GPS // DASHBOARD/STR CONNECTION - AERIAL BASE CONNECTION LINK)
8)
AERIAL CABLE
PASS COMPART ZONE / TAILGATE // FM2 AERIAL ADAPTOR CONNECTION - STR / DASH CABLE CONNECTION LINK
I have obviously omitted the clips and fixings
