Given the number of 'After-sales campaign' notices concerning Takarta Airbags I have been made aware of when looking up parts from PSA for members, I thought I would post a link to the following documentary that may be informative concerning the issue with these igniters.

Disruption to Parts Service

As you may be aware, the consolidation of the old PSA to the Stellantis Group systems has resulted in both a merge of data tools and a requirement to migrate PSA accounts to Stellantis Systems.

This has caused some problems for organisations like ours and the Team are currently looking at the best way forward. This...

Check for rust in the rear chassis inboard of the back wheels. Take a sharp pointy, pokey thing and have a prod around the chassis and wheel arches.
Being a diesel it shouldn't have suffered at the hands of the backwards baseball cap boys.

Found this today and I thought I'd share it with you lot
Two men met at a bus stop and struck up a conversation, one of them kept complaining of family problems.
Finally, the other man said: You think you have family problems? Listen to my situation.
A few years ago, I met a young widow with a grown-up daughter. We got married and got myself a...

by Stuart McB » 13 Oct 2004, 01:14

First post

Just got home and the wife has spoken to a mate at work who had a simalar problem, reckons that this lead should cost at least £40 to £80. I have explained that the dealer / parts man described the lead as approx 5 meters in length with an 8 pin square plug in blue on one end for the head uit and an 8 pin round DIN plug on the changer end . The...

Bit of bad luck with the wifes Renault Megane soft top last night . The CD changer wasn't realy playing by the rules and the head unit kept dropping the code. On removal the CD changer lead came apart at the small blue connector plug on the head unit . And it seems that the power lead to the changer was 'arching' on the terminal and causing a...

Thanks, Darren - looks nice. We once had a '74 - was a nice car. Still had metal grille and chrome strip above rear number plate, heavy flywheel. They started bean-counting on later ones, and gradually left bits off.
That one looks a bit familiar to me - I am sure I have seen it at events. Left-hooker, as well.

Saw this parked down the road from me last night and took some photos with my mobile so low quality but thought you might like it as you have one. M reg and left hand drive

Motor Clubs

The wife did belong to the Soft top Vauxhal club. Good meets, nice people. loads of bugers and hot dogs at the shows. She is now with the Renault Megane Coupe & Convertible Club. It's a free Webb based club and we've been to a couple of shows with them. Again a good old laugh.

Does anybody belong to a motor club. I recently joined Club Peugeot UK, and was wondering if anybody else on this forum belongs to, or similar?

Not exactly French, though, is it ? I had a couple of these and liked them but 128 saloons were quicker and stopped better. The 128 Berlinetta was a real jewel, though. Pretty and with a 1500 motor and a 5 speed box fitted I did 50,000 miles in one before moving on to Saabs.

Maybe worth having a word with the Daily Mail?

Last post

We were due to go on an afternoon booze cruise with P&O ferries today - courtesy of the Daily Mail for £19. The wife fell off her bike and broke an arm and fractured her hip. I phoned P&O to postpone, expecting to pay a small admin charge. To re-schedule the trip for four weeks time they wanted £124. No wonder they're having to cut staffing levels.
