Has anyone got a metallic green car?

Post by uhn113x »

What a strange question, I hear you ask. [:D]
My ZX (1995) has a paint code of KQHbr; I just want to know what the colour is actually called - forest green, snot green, whatever. I occasionally see original Citroen touch-up kits at autojumbles, but they only ever give the name, not the code. Couldn't find it in Halfrauds' lists at all.

I don't know... there were two metallic greens for the ZX. An earlier one which mine is, and a later lighter one used on some ("Elation"?) models. But I don't know what they are described as!

I have seen both Emerald and Forest green on touch-up kits, but it is well nigh impossible to see which my car actually is; hope one of you out there has the magic letters KQH on their right-hand inner wing!

Paint it road-salt grey like mine Mike, you only need to wash it in the summer.. heh heh ... [:o)] [8)] [:D]
The Aura is a nice light goldie colour but has to be kept very clean to look nice. [|)]

You'll like this then. Had a look and bingo KQH ER on the inner right hand wing. Xsara 1998 VTR model Emerald green. Dark metalic green. Got a touch up kit from Ha****ds not to long ago. When dry near perfect match.

Thanks a million for that, Stuart - exactly what I wanted. I passed over a genuine Cit Emerald Green touch-up at CCC Stirling for next to nowt because I didn't know if it was the correct one.If you bump me in a car park, it won't matter too much [:D][:D]

If dent was a colour than my old ZX would have been it. Not one panel was free from some form of crazy custom bodywork. Still started evey morning and ran sweet a as nut.

It doesn't help that they made them out of tin foil. Mine isn't too bad compared to some, but still has a fair few pock marks from car parks that are very obvious from certain angles.

I make sure I don't park mine under trees this time of year.
Some of those leaves can be quite heavy ;)
