PHP CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619

by xantia_v6 » 21 Oct 2026, 21:49 » in Forum News, Announcements and Issues

First post

The forum was offline for an hour or so while applying the patches for this significant security weakness.

There is a possibility that some forum functions are broken, as I have not been able to do much testing.

Last post

It'll be reet!

Thanks for acting so promptly though reading up about this in more detail I think another patch will be due soon because a company called Chainguard broke an embargo with The PHP Foundation and released the patch 6 hours earlier thus giving hackers access to the patch before a dedicated deadline that had been agreed by TPHPF.

Disruption to Parts Service

As you may be aware, the consolidation of the old PSA to the Stellantis Group systems has resulted in both a merge of data tools and a requirement to migrate PSA accounts to Stellantis Systems.

This has caused some problems for organisations like ours and the Team are currently looking at the best way forward. This...

The only way you can program the key is to have a transponder key coding unit with the relevant software. Try checking the Distributor cap - my Citroen AX does this every Autumn/Winter. Traced my problem to condensation build up inside cap. If anything looks like it's corroded inside cap just buy a new one.

Gearbox may need looking at - have you tried re-ligning the clamp on the gear selector rod to the gearbox? If it's a bit out it could mean 5th doesn't engage correctly.

Hi Marie,
I've not heard of this problem.
Best people to help with either another gearbox or some advise are a company called BSD in London, an independent Renault specialist.
They can be contacted on 0207 241 1166 (phone) 0207 241 2000 fax.

I have a Renault Laguna 2.2 diesel 1996 (N) I had the gearbox replaced in Aug 1988, it just fell into a 1000 pieces. I have just had the same thing happen again, gutted to say the least!!!
Has anybody else had similar trouble, every recon gearbox guy I speak to tells me it's very very common in this model & year Laguna
and as you can imagine...

1997 Renault Clio Phase three leaking sunroof

by Dave Burns » 11 Jul 2002, 02:18

Unless one actually see's the problem it's difficult to advise, but there may be other solution's, one may be to drill out the offending thread and insert a captive nut often refered to as a pop nut because it is similar in action to a pop rivet.
Or it may be possible to drill out and re-tap with a larger diameter thread.

Our local dealship claim that the fault is due to the securing bolts becoming striped so the whole frame becomes loose. The only solution they say is a new complete sunroof.
Does anyone know whether this is true or not?
Also where are the drainage holes as I can't see any and the rain goes striaght into the central roof console.

1.8 16v laguna II whine

Hi Mark,
I have the very same problem!
I have a 1.8 16V 1999 Laguna Estate. I took it down to the Renault garage and the mechanic there diagnosed it as a bearing about to fail! He suspected the Alternator bearing and this will cost over £250 for them to replace. They also say that this is a component failure and should be covered by the warranty....

I have a 2001 Renault Laguna II 1.8 16V Sports Tourer which I recently purchased, secondhand. On startup from cold I can hear a whine (not rattle or clatter) from the engine bay. This disappears quickly (10-15 secs)and the car otherwise runs OK except for a sort or resonance effect either from the engine or through exhaust between 2 and 3 thousand...

Espace electrical connectors

Has anyone any tips on separating electrical connectors (such as those on the injectors) on a '94 Espace 2.0i? The plastic seems very brittle and I've already broken one.

Megane rear number plate

by JohnD » 22 Apr 2002, 23:42

Hi Graham - It's probably held on with four or five sticky pads. It will come away if you pull, starting at one end and levering with one hand behind the plate.

I need to change the number plates on my 98R Megane hatchback (due to sale of a personalised registration number). The front is held on by 2 screws but I can't tell what is holding the rear one on... is it some kind of adhesive? It is held very firm and I don't want to force it to see what's behind it! Thanks.

warning light

Sounds like the light indicating a problem with the engine management system to me? Could be a problem or simply a dodgy sensor. I suggest seeking professional advice in the form of a diagnostic check if she's that far away.
