R25 starting problem
Customer has a 1992 R25 2 litre (j7r engine oval plate b29h), which sometimes refuses to start from cold, changed plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm, checked coil pack and all leads are fine, all sensors are reading ok on the ohmn meter, confusing thing is it will turn engine over but will not attempt to fire, take out the fuel injectors , and it will run, albeit briefly owing to the small amount of petrol in the cylinders, are these injectors faulty?.. anybody got any ideas??, as its starting to really annoy me( and so is the customer), as some days it will fire and some days it wont!!!....thanks any help would be useful........

Thanks Mike,I have tested the sensors and all seems well, when it starts its obvious the cold start system is working as it has a fast idle, and when it fires it runs smoothly and shows no problems at all,(although the customer does complain about poor fuel consumption figures, which i put down to it been an automatic, 2 litre, and in a big body, used for short journeys) cos this is an intermitent problem, as normal these are the worst to find and cure.
Never thought of the fuel pump relay, got any idea where this is located?I have found one located behind the n/s headlight, as the H*ynes wiring diagram is about as much use a chocolate fire guard on where anything is located....
Cheers
Phil

Having checked out the fuel pump relay, its located next to the EMS on the nearside inner wing on this particular R25, it is operating ok, yet the car is still having problems starting, any further ideas on this would be welcome.... last resort I will change the fuel pump and filter, and check the flywheel sensor, although the expense is an off putting issue with the customer...
Any one out there with any other suggestions would be gratefuly recieved as I am now starting to consider becoming a monk and going to a mountain retreat devoid of any thing Renault......
