I have a 2001 Laguna II V6 Dynamique H/B, great car it is but I have a problem.
The front and rear tyres are wearing on the outer edges.
For example the rear tyres have 6mm left on the inside and are now under 3mm on the outer edges.
I booked the car into the dealer and they sent it for a laser alignment check/adjust. This did show that the front were out and also the rear. They could only adjust the front and could do nothing with the rear.
It went back in to the dealer to look at the rear again and after they spoke to Renault Technical Unit, they say they can nothing but replace the rear axle!!
Obviously this seems a bit drastic on a car thats only done 14k miles.
Is this the only option and is this going to cure the problem?
Obviously it will be sent for alignment/report after the work has been done.
I do hope this solves the problem as I am not prepared to pay £400 for a new pair of rear tyres avery 15k miles.
