Good afternoon all

Just a quick question.

I have C4 Pic 2014 Exclusive (B87) and I'm going to give it a big birthday service soon.
I'm a capable mechanic type person, but I'm just wondering if there is a specific process in replacing the Coolant/Anti freeze.

Any help would be most appreciated

One thing to make sure of is NOT to mix coolant types. Sometimes doing so can result in the mixture turning to sludge!

Hi Zane

There is an official process to change the coolant and degassing / bleeding. These are almost identical procedures to many PSA vehicles and can be found in the donating members Resources Section: The one below is identical to your C4 Picasso (B78), but will need a min £10 Forum donation to access, which will also provide you with official part numbers and parts diagrams for up to 2 years. Details in the table at the end of my post.

I plan on totally emptying the system and refill with new coolant..... just hope I have enough.

I have checked the procedure for your vehicle and it is identical to the one I linked to for the C5 X7. You have a Euro 5 vehicle - so note this when it comes to the degassing section and follow the bit for NON EURO 6 vehicles.

Think I'm going to have to get the garage to do it as I don't have a vacuum tool or the filling cylinder thing

Any idea where the bleed screw is for my vehicle.

It should be on the Outlet Housing, but....

There can be 3 variations of these and depending on which one you have, there may already have been a modification.

This one shows the bleed screw that has been removed and replaced with the engine coolant temperature sensor and wire modification:
