Re: Rneg Myway to Navidrive
I have done this myself and it is a straight swap.
There are several options that need changing in the BSI however as the RT5 also has telematic abilities. Without doing this I had some erratic behaviour from the unit.
You will also need to fit a GSM antenna if you intend to use that feature of the RT5.

Yes, the screens are the same for both the Rneg and the navidrive.
I can't remember off the top of my head what I had to change but they are pretty obvious if you go through all of the options in the BSI. Remember to record your initial settings before changing anything in the BSI.

Re: Rneg Myway to Navidrive
That is still very cheap for a RT4, I paid £280 but it did include the screen and wiring loom that I needed at the time.

Re: Rneg Myway to Navidrive
The Difference is that the RT5 can use the high Res screen and has bluetooth. If it's RT4 it will have software version 7.x and RT5 will have software version 8.x. Also, check out the rear of the unit for the other way to identify it.

Interesting, does the rearrangement of the FM connectors mean that the RT5 has a different FM tuner subsystem? If this is the case I'd like to hear it as I feel the FM side of things lets the RT4 down and isn't a patch on the Harman sourced Rneg in my view.

Hard to say Elis without ripping the 2 apart and looking at the guts - but they no doubt had to rearrange some things to fit the Bluetooth module in and the different graphics chip maybe.
FM is a tricky one - sometimes around Cardigan Bay my FM is like listening to LW out at sea, (either that or the Russians are jamming me)! Other times further inland it is crystal clear.

Haha, if I were you I'd avoid sushi and people with pointy umbrellas
My old rneg could change fm channel instantly unlike any other radio I have ever used. I just wish there was a way to play music from SD card as I would have kept it.
