Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hello guys, I inform you that I have updated my Toyota pro ace firmware. From 43.05.42.52_nac-r0 to 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0. I followed the simple steps of the guide in this forum. Plus I have not updated the maps. With this latest firmware now I can use android auto properly.
1) unzip into a fat32 USB the latest firmware downloaded from the guide in this forum
2) plug the USB into the car
3) go into settings menu and the car should recognize the update. It will last at least 30 min.
4) I didn't use any type of license or something similar, it was just plug and play.
Thank you for the replies

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hello everyone, I’ve faced the same problem as many users on this website. Recently I managed to update my old 31-version firmware to 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0*, but after the update I encountered an issue: my old maps were erased. I tried updating the 17-version maps, but nothing worked. I also tried updating the firmware to the latest 44 version, but it shows an incompatibility error.
Please help me solve this problem, I would appreciate any assistance in advance.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
@VendettaPapo: What was the error when installing the maps and when (before or during the progress bar) did it happen?
When you can install the firmware but the map fails, it's usually because you prepared the USB flash drive in macOS (and didn't remove the System files - see this post: viewtopic.php?p=854057#p854057 ) or the USB flash drive itself has a problem (try another one).
Until Stellantis recognizes you've already installed a 4x.xx.xx.xx firmware (and upgraded to a NAC_EUR_WAVE4 system), you can't install any firmware for that system (the 44.xx.xx.xx versions).

Hi, yesterday I decided to try again. I usually extracted the archive first to the local disk on Windows 11, and then copied it to the USB stick. Yesterday I tried extracting it directly to the USB stick and, surprise — when I plugged it into the car, the update started automatically and took 75 minutes. The USB stick was USB 2.0. So now I have firmware 42.03.33 and map version 17 installed.
Now my question is: do I need to update to 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0? And as I understand it, until the app detects my latest update, it won’t allow me to download the 44.07 firmware through Citroën Update. Or can it be installed manually?

@VendettaPapo:
No, you can't update to a 44.xx.xx.xx version until Stellantis correctly identifies your system as a NAC_EUR_WAVE4 so that it can generate a license for that system. If you check your VIN on my page, you'll see it's still identified as a NAC_EUR_WAVE3, although it already has a 4x.xx.xx.xx firmware version installed. Connecting your car to a WiFi network might fix that problem.
But with that firmware version, you can already upgrade to any (unlikely) new map versions. And you won't see any new features in those 44.xx.xx.xx versions anyway...

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
For all friends who have replaced the original unit (RNEG, RNEG2, etc.) with a NAC Wave2: I own a DS5 and recently upgraded from RNEG2 to NAC Wave2. The NAC unit has been coded to my car’s VIN.
I downloaded the latest firmware file for my unit (21.08.90.52_NAC-r0) as well as the latest Europe map file (28.0.0-r0).
Map Update First, I extracted the map files (about 10GB) to the root of a USB drive formatted in FAT32. When I inserted the drive into the car’s USB socket, the NAC unit detected the update and asked if I wanted to proceed. I set the car to ECO-OFF mode with the engine running. The update took about 30 minutes to complete. After rebooting, the system worked perfectly with the updated maps.
Firmware Update Next, I extracted the firmware files (about 2.8GB) to the root of another USB drive formatted in FAT32. When I inserted it into the car’s USB socket, the NAC unit displayed the error message: “Version not compatible with hardware.”
To resolve this, I removed the USB drive, enabled the mobile hotspot on my phone, and connected the NAC to Wi-Fi. Once the NAC established an internet connection, I reinserted the USB drive. This time, the NAC detected the firmware update and again asked if I wanted to proceed. With the car in ECO-OFF mode and the engine running, the update took about 20 minutes. After rebooting, the system worked flawlessly with the latest firmware.
Conclusion No issues so far—the upgrade and updates completed successfully.

@ffhabashi: You should have an IVI infotainment system, that does only over-the-air (OTA) updates. For large updates, such as map/cartography, you need to connect your car to a WiFi network - Page 102 https://public.servicebox-parts.com/APd ... review.pdf - "Large updates are downloaded only via the WiFi network".
