Rui, what do you think — will Wave 3, which can now be updated again to version 42.03, be upgradable to version 44.07 in the next step? Or is 42.03 absolutely the final software version for Wave 3?rui_saraiva wrote: 31 Oct 2025, 18:06 @kakavia : You probably won't be able to use the official "X Update" software, until your system is identified as a NAC_EUR_WAVE4 (NAC Wave 4). Because you don't need any license to install the map updates, you can manually prepare the USB flash drive and download the file from my site.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
I will try it tomorrow.
How will my system be identified as NAC Wave 4?
Should I do something?
It's a procedure from Citroen?
I must connect my car somehow to internet?

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
After successfully installing the 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0 firmware version, your system is effectively, and for any purpose, a NAC_EUR_WAVE4. That's why you can install the European map 17.0.0-r0 (for NAC Wave 4) after that.Deermand wrote: 31 Oct 2025, 18:11Rui, what do you think — will Wave 3, which can now be updated again to version 42.03, be upgradable to version 44.07 in the next step? But until your car can connect to the internet (using any valid TomTom connected service subscription, connection to a home WiFi router, or tethering your phone through USB or Bluetooth) and send that new version installed information to the Stellantis servers, they still assume you've an NAC_EUR_WAVE3 system, and you won't be able to request a valid license key for any Wave 4 firmware. And a license is required to install any firmware.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Thanks to your help I have updated to 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0.
I have connected to internet via bluetooth tehtering. Now I will wait until Stellantis update their servers about my new FW.
@rui_saraiva : Can you remind me how to manual install the map I have downloaded from your site?

@kakavia :
Just like the firmware update, extract (do not copy) the map .tar file to a FAT32-formatted USB flash drive. You can use the same flash drive you've used to update the firmware if it is 32 GB or larger, and you don't need to format it again; just delete all files.
If you're using macOS, run in a terminal:
And if you see any system files (".DS_Store", for instance), delete them with:
Unmount the flash drive immediately:
Any new file in the "/SWL/002*/Data/data-pkg/NAV/MAP/" folder, and the map update will fail. MacOS, by default, automatically creates system files on removable drives, so you have to "clean" the drive, even if you use the official "Citroën Update" software.
BTW, you can use my site to verify if your infotainment system is already identified as a NAC_EUR_WAVE4 - it does a direct request to Stellantis servers.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hello. The 2024-2025 Citroen C5 Aircross was sold as a 2025 model. I downloaded the new 17 maps but didn't copy them to the flash drive using the Citroen Update program. I only have the map archive. If I simply extract this archive to a formatted flash drive, will I be able to install the new maps? Therefore, I can't repeat the procedure and redownload the maps.I understand that I need a license file to install new maps.

@rui_saraiva
I know that I can verify it from your site.
My system regognised still as WAVE_3.
For the Maps:
I have followed the procedure for the map but in the end I am getting a failure message. The prosedure starts, I am waiting for 10 minutes (I want only a small map of Greece) and in the end I have the failure message.
I have tried 2 times. I used the same USB as the FW update.

Update:
I downloaded the map again, installation was successful.
Now I am waiting for Stellantis to recognize my system as Wave 4.
Thank you

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
I updated to 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 two days ago. Keeping bluetooth teethering internet for two days (it was short rides- up to 10km) but Peugeot update is still offering me 16 maps, and the same FW update that I allready have. I'll have to go with manual update, thanks @rui_saraiva
On last car (P508) I never had that problem.

Yes, you could extract the .tar file to a FAT32-formatted USB flash drive, but don't use WinZip with default options ("TAR file smart CR/LF conversion" must be disabled). You could use a recent 7-Zip version or any other software that supports TAR PaxHeaders.RNEG25 wrote: 01 Nov 2025, 10:41 Hello. The 2024-2025 Citroen C5 Aircross was sold as a 2025 model. You can download any version from my page. There aren't license key for map updates, only for firmware/system updates.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Your system is already a NAC_EUR_WAVE4. For some reason, the "Peugeot Update" software, for the last couple of days, only offers the 16.0.0-r0 version (Feb 2024) of the European maps for the NAC Wave 4 system. But the 17.0.0-r0 version (Sep 2024) is still available and was successfully installed in hundreds of head units.oliverv wrote: 03 Nov 2025, 13:53 I updated to 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 two days ago. The 15.0.0-r0 version is from August 2023, more than 2 years ago. It probably has expired signing certificates anyway...

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Finally my rifter´s nac wave 3 got officially updated to wave 4 version 42.03.33.42 update size was around 5gb and no maps were offered. Update was successfull and system info shows version 42.xxxx installed. but Stellantis update now does not understand that I have updated and offers me same version for update and still no maps at all.
I was driving around for a few days constatnly connecting my phone via caplay and bluetooth and having peugeot app installed on my phone and synchronising car´s data, so I am sure that my car was connected to internet all the time.
Any opinions on whats going on? Should I probably just wait untill information on servers gets updated?
