lower wish bone arms

Unread post by moms the word »

Hi all. I have changed the lower wish bones on my C3 Picasso 2011 1.6 hdi
But now the steering seems funny & the nearside wheel camber is out. top of wheel seems in a little
I did change the strut & it all seems OK but cant understand why its driving a little funny
When i increase speed it seams to pull to the left & feels unstable
I don't know if the bush on top of strut in the correct way?
Can anyone please give me some tips on what's wrong

This may be because your old ones were that worn the tracking was set up correctly to there wear, your need to re track the car , the old fashioned string line method works for me. See video.
Different car but same method

Possible then that it may well be .
Have a look at this and study the top mount position

I think when I did mine the part that slots into the hub assembly was my reference point to line up the top mount I think there's a little u shaped cut away part in the top mount t that lines up with that bit on the suspension leg then I think its the correct way.

The red circled parts these sit on the inner part of the mount housing (the wing)

The top mount has a rubber part thst stick up , this faces inwards whe its fitting to the suspension turret, facing inwards when looking down at the engine bay while standing out side of the car so the driver side one will point right 👉 and the passenger would face pointing left

Yes looks like there should be a large washer on top of the plastic part that seats the top of spring. then the rubber bearing/Bush goes on
I will remove the strut & see what's going on. but at the moment the top of strut is in too far, giving me a Neg camber \

Would there be a difference in size with the wishbones
is it possible that the wrong wishbones have been fitted

Length 332 mm & others say length 295 mm
any idea's ? I
f i have put the longer 332 mm on the car That would be the problem
