What is this for?
Whilst doing some maintenance on the 807 I came across two zipped tied wires at the front of the car.
I've attached pictures of coding for them in the hope that you lovely FCF boffins can tell me what they are.
Secretly hoping it's the plugs for the front parking sensors

Re: What is this for?
Unfortunately not, those are the wiring connectors for the front fog lights.
See on the Diagram item (1) - this is the harness in your picture. Harness (2) below that is for the front obstacle detection.

Re: What is this for?
Thanks Marc!
I will have to get under the car to trace the wiring for the sensors then.
Thanks again

You may not have it - but it's a possibility - before they got tight!

Re: What is this for?
I have the sensors but they don't engage.. it's the nordwest model and I think you checked and said I should have them. The sensor ECU has both sets of wires (front and back) but they just don't work.. no errors either .... Annoying!

Re: What is this for?
Ah yes, of course, with so many issues I can't always remember on the spot
So my feelings (and apologies if I've said this before or you've already done this), are to check with PP2000 / Diagbox if the system has been disabled in the BSI. Some people have been known to do this if they don't want to replace a faulty sensor. If memory serves I think you already checked the loom out at the rear. I don't see it being a fuse as this 20A fuse also controls the Audio / Display / Alarm Sliding Door control unit etc.

Re: What is this for?
Yeah.. nearly £1200 into repairs and maintenance costs so far....
Including, new left wing mirror, new air-conditioning pipes, new coolant pipes, full service.
Had towbar fitted bit because of hacked wiring that's also been complicated to finish!
Where and what is the best route to go down with PP, I know I need hardware and software.
See lots of stuff on eBay and Ali Express but not comfortable without understanding more...

I and many members bought mine from Easydiagnostics - link here for a member discount:

You need a laptop yourself preferably with Windows 7 and it must be a 32 bit version of the operating system as PP2000 won't work on 64 bit operating systems natively.
The hardware is a VCI, that should be a good quality full chip revision C clone. The software is modified to work for us on the aftermarket so ins not sanctioned or officially available from PSA. If you do get one, update it to version 7.58 only and you should be fine.

Are your reverse lights working as they should?

Re: What is this for?
We'll, yesterday everything stopped working, but as the mechanic untangled it all they started working again. Why do you ask?

Re: What is this for?
The reverse light switch is used to trigger the parking sensors on, if the reverse lights are working ok this means the reverse switch is working.

Re: What is this for?
The other thing the reverse switch can do is to tell the cabin ventilation system to switch over to recycle (from taking in outside air), so it does not draw in exhaust fumes as you reverse over them.

Re: What is this for?
Aaah yes the reverse parking sensor are fine, it's just the front ones.. to all extents the car doesn't see them.
I don't know anyone with PP locally so can't investigate further, other than checking the wiring loom.

Really? That's surprisingly smart for Peugeot!Hell Razor5543 wrote: ↑08 Jul 2021, 20:37 The other thing the reverse switch can do is to tell the cabin ventilation system to switch over to recycle (from taking in outside air), so it does not draw in exhaust fumes as you reverse over them.
