If you get the exact part number (either the peugeot part I provided) or a matching '96******' number is should not need to be coded as 4541Z3 is for your vehicle with all options as it left the factory.

Hi I have been through this abs swap with my 2006 207 1.4L What year is yours?
I first got a duff one from eBay that didn't work, swapped ECUs etc.. and then paid 60 quid for a tested used one from ebay that actually did work, but I had to recode with the scantool. The coding is not to the individual car, but just model tyre size.

I don't envy your mechanic it's a complete hell of a job to fit, it took me 5 hours, and then I had to bleed the brakes the next day. The soft aluminium of the abs unit can be easily cross threaded by the steel brake union threads. The trick is to get a old union and retap each thread when this happens. The access to tighten them is also next to impossible, a few mms.

Well Done Shaz61 =D> Did you find the exact part as GiveMeABreak said or did it still need coding to your car for tyre size as Muscleriot suggested :?:

Shaz61 wrote: 16 Sep 2019, 16:14 Hi, I wondered if someone could help me please.

I own a 2007 Peugeot 207cc with a faulty ABS pump. I have been trying to find a used one but have been told I haven’t got the correct serial no. The one I have been providing starts ‘1009’ but have been told that I need the one starting with ‘96’. My mechanic rechecked the pump but could not find any other serial no’s so I contacted Peugeot & the only part number they could provide for the pump was 4541Z3. I have searched using this part number & have found matches but I’m not sure just cos the part number is the same that the pump will work in my car.

Any assistance/ guidance would be very much appreciated. Shaz
Put your VIN number (from the outside lower passenger windscreen - in the cut out) here - it begins VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. The ABS pump consists of an electronic control unit (ECU) and the hydraulic block. Depending on what is wrong you can either replace the whole unit or keep the ECU part and just replace the block. If your replace with another unit it will need coding to ensure the parameters are correct for your vehicle. If you retain the your existing ECU and just replace the block then it won't need coding.

One I have your VIN I can check the correct PSA part number.
Sorry, for reviving old topic, but I need help...
Recently both 207 with ABS pump failure. I suspect that pump was already changed, because Launch in ABS module shows that engine should be DV4C (8HR), while mine is DV6TED4 (9HZ), after engine type change Launch do not update this information in ABS module. Basically I don't even know if correct edition (MK60 or MK70) ABS pump was installed to my car. GiveMeABreak, I seriously need your help if you still can get exact ABS pump number?
