So, the flywheel fitted to this car 4 years ago is named 0532-XF. The clutch is named X 951 835.

Theese are incorrect OEN on my car according to moderator GiveMeABreak. The correct flywheel would be 0532-T0.

Anyone here who know how this would affect the car, fitting a 0532-X7 instead of 0532-T0, like they have done? In the specs I can read that the one fitted has only 7 "teeth"(?) and OEN has 9.

The Flywheel is actually 277 as you can see under part number 11.

The first part numbers are the OEM ones and where there is another > 3 yrs that means an equivalent part for older cars that is generally cheaper. Parts with ‘RP’ in front of them are the later replacement part numbers that have superseded the original part number.

Hello again. Been in contact with Citroen. If you check further on, the LE-2012 means that they have replaced the 0532-T0 with the 0532-X7. That means that the 277mm flywheel has changed.

From your VIN, your RPO number is 10581.
Use that to select the correct clutch kit from the several listed by Citroen for the car.

Your 50xxxx numbers should read 05xxxx; just a slip.

Thanks. But I'm not seeing that number anywhere on the sites I'm ordering from. Just OEN.

I'm now choosing between the Sachs or LuK, and whether I should go with the 0532-T0 or 0532-X7. Since I've had bad experience with the later one, I'm leaning to get the 0532-T0. Would have been interesting to know the difference between T0 and X7. They're all 235 or 240 mm.

From your VIN:
C5 II 5 DOOR ESTATE 2.0 HDi 138 particle emission filter Manual gearbox 6
RPO no.=10581

For the DMF, replacement is 0532T0*** (shown as available):
...DMF flywheel 0532T0.JPG
This is dimensioned at 277mm diam.

And for the Clutch Kit, you have a choice of two as shown (and both available):
...DMF clutch kit.JPG
________________

*** Alternative to this part is listed 0532X7 + 2052P3 :
...alternative DMF+clutch kit.JPG
2052P3, though, shows up as a Clutch Kit, fitted to several vehicles, eg
...alternative clutch kit 2052P3.JPG
As 0532T0 is shown as available, this looks to be the one to go for, otherwise be guided by your Citroen parts counter.

Cannot vouch for alternative makes or aftermarket units, especially in this case where more than one unit seems to have been fitted over time.

Apologies for any overlap with Marc's information. It's had two of us doing some delving.

Edited to correct 5032X7 to 0532X7

I can find no listing for any vehicle for that first number.

but it might need to be twinned with 5032X7 (whatever that is).

Thank you very much. As said the 0532-X7 is the new replacement for 0532-T0. Somewhere there is a typo, becuse also you wrote 5032X7 now, like I did earlier, and found nothing. But with 0532X7 I find flywheels on various auto-part sites.

Will go with the 0532-T0 RepSet that includes clutch-kit and bolts and everything... Thank you everyone for your help with this.

I've been away fixing our C3 - but yes replacement part is 0532X7 and that is
£229.49 for a LUK equivalent (without screw set) and £432.01 from Citroen, plus £100 refundable deposit. So the equivalent over where you are.

Yeah, I will go with the 0532-T0, not X7, since the first flywheel/clutch (that was T0 when the car was new) lasted 160 000 km. And the replacement 0532-X7 now lasted only 60k km.

I can't tell you for sure that the reason to the faster fail of clutch/flywheel is because of the replacement part. But I can tell you I am not installing a 0532-X7 again :)

So this story is continuing. The LuK RepSet requires some special LuK tool that I don't think my friend mechanic has. It states in the article info that special LuK tool is required. Price of tool is 500 €. I think it has something to do with the RepSet beeing self-adjusting.

So, been looking at Mapco Set. Can you see from the picture that this is a dual mass flywheel?

It's because the LUK clutch has an automatic wear adjustment device that requires a special tool for refitting.
LUK Clutch.PNG
(8) Automatic play adjustment mechanism.
(9) Compensation springs.

Your engine code is RHR - so make sure it is compatible if getting something else.

 Yeah, I know. Just trying to find out if they're all self adjusting, but only the LuK one states special tool required. I know my mechanic has fitted self adjusting clutches before but is there something special with LuK that requires their own 500 euro LuK-tool? Wouldn't surprise me.

Very little info on the Mapco set, no OEN numbers and no info whether it has dual-mass flywheel or if it is a conversion kit. Nearly half the kits sold to this car are conversions to SMF...

If sold as a multi-part kit that includes flywheel, then likely an SMF conversion kit.
Also has a conventionally sprung friction plate, which is standard for SMF; DMF plates usually unsprung, as the springing (lots of it!) is in the flywheel.

Yes, we can't really comment on third party vendors - that has to be your decision - you have the Citroen part numbers, so just need to search on those.

There are plenty kits including flywheel and clutch that is with a inlcuded DMF, not just SMF. Like 50/50 of both types of kits...

Yeah I'm forgetting the Mapco one I think. Sachs or LuK it will be. Just going to check with the mechanic that he has the proper stuff to install a self adjusting clutch, since both of them are self-adjusting.
