That's because the aerial is powered via the amplifier in the rear quarter, part 10 in the diagram.

Yes but mine isn't powered so i decided to use this stuff named "separator", to give power to amplifier from iso pinout. There is no pin named "antenna auto remote", so there is +12v only in pin 9 and 12 i think. Pin 12 is permanent, so maybe better will be 9 - which will be powered, when screen will be turned on?

I have connected both aerials (FM1, FM2) by 2 "antenna separators". Power to separator i took from pin 9. Now signal is strong and clear. Thanks for help.

Is this the amplifier part that some C5's have? What is the red FAKRA connector for?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/282199253632

I only have 2 FM antennas (grey and white FAKRA) so I'm not sure if they are amplified or not?

Refer to the diagram here:
viewtopic.php?f=48&t=48421&start=240#p548825
Remember that amplifier is for a 2004 Peugeot 607, they had different systems / options back then. I have 3 aerial connectors in my head unit, so apart from the FM, it has to contend with GPS and GSM (for the internal telephone), even though I use Bluetooth mainly.

Ok, I think I see. So the old radios has 3FM antennas?

Also I can't seem to locate any antennas on my car, no roof aerial or anything in the rear quarter window that you see on some cars these days.

Depends on the system / options, Dual tuner, GPS, GSM and now of course DAB.
For the Adapter (No. 10 in the diagram), there are no less than 8 versions of this depending on the head unit, and no less than 20 different versions of the aerial cable (Part 5) to give you an idea of the combinations.

What about the antenna on the roof?

Nope, mine is a completely smooth roof, no 'sharks fin' or anything. I was kind of curious if I could fit the appropriate amplifier box that had a take off for DAB if that was possible.

Although finding the correct part number would be a nightmare as you say with that many different combinations :(

Well so far I've seen 3 specific combos of roof aerial on the X7 saloons:
1 - none at all
2 - the small 'bee sting' aerial (I have this one)
3 - a standard longer aerial

So one has to assume that for some systems, the aerial is primarily screen-printed onto the rear window.

So in your case Elis, it would seem to go from the rear left passenger side quarter up to the ceiling corner and crosses over to the rear right hand passenger side into the kit and from there into the screen printing:

That’s great, thanks Marc. I'll go for a hunt this evening when I get home.

As an aside, are you just using Service box for all of these diagrams as I can't seem to find that much info when I look, and certainly no wiring diagrams.

I have an account with them and paid to download a lot of documents some time ago for the X7. Others I have 'accumulated'.

Hello everyone.

I have the following system on my car:

My wish is to switch to a big display, so I found this player and its display, from the same seller:

Image

Can anyone please tell me what model I have and what model is this founded? And if it is possible to be mounted in the car without big effort and activate the USB and Parking, which are already present on my car?

Thank you,
Vlad.

Post up your VIN as there are several versions of the RD4 /RD45 unit. The unit you have above is the RT6 (eMyWay unit).
If you are planning on installing this, you will need a new fascia surround for the dashboard (there are 2 sizes for the multi-function screen - one is slightly larger). Also, did you check that the screen is from the same vehicle the eMyWay came from? There are 2 types of large colour screen - only the correct one will work with the RT6 (eMyWay).

There is a guide on the forum here that you should look through before undertaking the work so you are prepared. Also the unit will need VIN coding to the car and enabling in the BSI / configuring using Diagbox.

Here is my VIN Code: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

The unit of RNEG2 that you saw on my second photo is from the seller. He has also the display from this unit and the frame from the dashboard. All of the parts are from the same car, which is dismantled.

So, my question would be: Shall I buy the parts from the seller? I have also Lexia, so I can activate what is needed, but would after replacing my steering wheel commands, parking sensors and USB port work?
