As I said I might, a pair of BFG G-Grips. Finally sent the Fates off to their ultimate fate; they were getting cracked and making the car feel a bit skittish and I no longer trusted them on a run..

I've had the G-Grips on several Xantias over the years and I like them a lot. These are no exception and they have made the car feel much better.

My local mob (also used by Xac) did a fine job of balancing too...

Agree...mill out the centres.

Or put a few grams of shot gun pellets inside the tyres :)

How? The pellets will be constantly on the move won't they? This is a serious question...

Some cyclists fill their inner tubes with liquid latex to seal punctures automatically in the same manner as blood platelets stop bleeding but many find the latex swishing around really upsets wheel balance...

It has to do with the centrifugal forces. A similar thing happens on a Ds with the grease from the drive shafts on the front wheels. The joints in these driveshafts you need to periodically grease and the excess grease will be pushed out on the inside of the wheel. It helps to remove unbalance....

Ahh, thanks for that :) So the weight goes to where it's needed then as a result of centrifugal force...

Makes perfect sense!
