I don't have knowledge of the Peugeot, but the issue of a loose connection is known with several makes of car.
I doubt the piece of plastic holding the cable to the floor will cause an issue with the air bag light, but an intermittent loose connection in the plug and socket almost certainly will. Check for a good electrical connection within. Look...

Don't worry unduly about the green fluid. It is possible that they have used LHM which wouldn't be very good but Comma make an LDS that is green. I had to use it when the suspension pipe from front to rear in order to get the car on a low loader and it was OK after that.

Raced the Saxo at Brands Hatch for the 1st time on the 24th November with Dunlop DZ03G tyres - again never used these before either.
Wet track in quals & did a 1m09s lap. Had a few off-track excursions, but overall felt good.
Softened up the suspension all round & pumped up the tyres to 28psi (hot) for the 1st race. Damp track & did a 1m02s lap....

Hello, I applied to the forum some time ago I have been waiting for the moderators to accept me and in that time I have already replaced a hydrualic pump for a C5, as the suspension was stuck at a really low level.

We took out the pump put a new one in and then pressurised the hydraulic fluid reservoir with a bicycle pump. We had the bleed nipple...

Put a few cable ties and hose locks around the rubber gromits. Then replaced the leaking centre pressure regulator with a series of pipes with pressure fittings. Left a pressure fitting lose to bleed air out before tightening it fully. :)

Just got a 2008 C5 Exclusive 2.0 HDI Auto with 22k on the clock but have taken out an extended warranty just incase :lol: last car was one of those unreliable silky smooth Lexus is250 autos :P and I think we are up to about 60 cars since we have been together :oops: I'm aware up potential reliability problems but you do seem to get a lot...

Just got it and needs a little work prior to MOT (burst brake line/seized rear height the initial faults) and adopting it into the family

Thanks - it was the brake pipe join with the flexi hose in the wheel arch area..... hacksawed the pipe off and then got a socket knocked on the nut

I never saw any seals :wink:

Hi my name is Mike I have just bought my first ever Citroen car :shock: lol.

It's a lovely little beast Citroen C5 1.6HDi VTX 56 plate,
1 lady owner from new full service history main dealer serviced 119000 on the clock but I'm not worried looks like new and never had any damage to bodywork.

Just thought I'd say hello, had a penchant for french cars since I owned a Renault 16 in the 70's. Had a string of Peugeot's since, 316,205,406, all did mega-mileage.
I'm currently assisting (?) my daughter's partner to restore a Citroen HY van, 1965 as far as I can ascertain although the engine seems to be later.
