I don't have knowledge of the Peugeot, but the issue of a loose connection is known with several makes of car.
I doubt the piece of plastic holding the cable to the floor will cause an issue with the air bag light, but an intermittent loose connection in the plug and socket almost certainly will. Check for a good electrical connection within. Look...

I currently own a 2008 X7 C5 Exclusive and 1999 Peugeot 206 GLX at the moment. I'm not adversed to owning anything French and the headaches that come with them. (I've owned 4 Renault Laguna II's).

Hi, just bought a 2002 C5 estate last week, love the car but one or two issues have become noticeable, nothing that cant be sorted out! have to say the C5 is a world away from my other car,(Corvette) talk about chalk and cheese! I needed a load lugger and the Citroen does the job effortlessly, what a cracking car!

Yes, definitely a rear axle swap job... It was a very common failing on the 205 too... Once they're wonky it's a specialist job to fix them.

You need to be careful over what you swap to depending on disc or drum rears as the stub axles are different....

Hi just swapped my Citroen Picasso Xsara for a 2005 1.6 HDI C3. Hopefully i made the right choice... Should be saving some money on my petrol and already saved almost £200 on the tax :-D

Hello from Oxford have just purchased a 60 plate C3 Picasso VTR+ and so far so good. although I was disapointed to find I must have one of the very few without Bluetooth, I thought it was standard but obviously wrong. Never mind my mistake. 8-)

Thanks for the add.

In the past 15+ years I have had several Pug 405 diesels and for the last 11 I had a Y reg 2.0 hdi C5 that has now gone to the big scrapyard in the sky. Although the engine pulled like a train everything else was going wrong and so I took her around the back of the barn and put her down.

Now I have a 54 1.6 HDI C5 that came...
