identify my radio

Unread post by myfirstpicasso »

my car Citroen Grand C4 Picasso 2.0 HDi 165 FAP has a weird radio . Could you guys help me identify it .

So this radio :
- has USB port which can play MP3s
- it also has a AUX input. (aux and usb port located between the seats not on radio face)
- it also has bluetooth. I can connect the phone and output audio through bluetooth to car stereo. But the microphone does not work . I suppose it has a microphone but it's faulty.

In order to identify it i took it out of the din slot and i saw the codes : 96766657xt00 rd4n1m-03 A2C53424335.

So is this a RD4 , RD43 , RD45 or anything else ?

Asking because the internet or nowadays GPTs say that RD4 does not have bluetooth or USB.

I think that you have a basic RD4 (single antenna) with an external bluetooth telephone module.

Is the USB cable the white connector on the right side ?
What is the black thing in the middle going nowhere (seen it before but i'm newbie with electronics) ?

There seems to be an additional square white connector inserted in the big black square connector on the left side . Is this normal or is it an aftermarket job ?

This is just a locating peg, stops the radio unit dropping down, if you look in the DIN hold you will see the hole it mates into.

Easy check for future reference, look at the RH button beside the CD slot.

TA button = RD45
TA / PTY button = RD4
