Had an issue where car didn't drive straight after many alignments.
Replaced the rack and tracking adjusted so now drives straight, issue is now esp is on. Read the codes and are attached below.. did a calibration on the steering angle sensor and the live data shows it's working but still displays as faulty and esp remains.
The replacement rack was from 2009 model 1.6d and put on a 2015 model. So not sure that would matter too much.
Any suggestions please. DS3 1.6hdi 2015

Re: Steering Rack replacement
Presumably the rack needs to be programmed to the car; there's also a good chance a 2009 rack is not compatible with a 2015 car....
See below on service we can provide for checking part numbers etc:
We can help if you need an original genuine part number, part diagram or vehicle factory build sheet and can't already find the info you need on the Forum. For this service, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future part number requests for up to 3 years *, so excellent value.
We do NOT provide Technical Documentation or Wiring Diagrams as part of this Service! We may only help with these if Staff already have them.
* Please note that the FCF can only provide this service to donating members for as long as the Stellantis Group provide access to us.
If interested, links are below, then provide your vehicle's VIN in full, which will be masked automatically when you submit your post.

Re: Steering Rack replacement
It depends on your Diagnostic tool's capabilities. We don't provide that sort of help - it's generally a dealer job unless you know what you're doing and have the capable diagnostic tools and that the ECU is not locked into secure mode requiring PSA server account and access. The correct part is essential as if electric power steering, it must be correctly programmed for the specific vehicle as there are electrical and assistance properties that must be correct for the vehicle.
Please Don't PM Me For Technical Help

Re: Steering Rack replacement
I changed the electric steering rack on a 2007 C2 and it was fairly straightforward to programme tbf.
You do need to get the right part though and you'd be surprised how many small differences there can be within the same model - the motors can be different current rating, the rack can be different ratio (different number of turns lock-lock).
E.g. the C2 Loeb that I changed the rack on, is basically a C2 VTS just with different trim as a 'special edition'. But it actually uses a different rack to the VTS (which in turn uses a different rack to the rest of the range). All look the same externally, but they aren't.
