Ds3 power steering ABS errors

Hi bought this DS3 with some faults on dash thinking it’s going to be asy fix but it doesn’t go well.

I have power steering message on display along with abs faulty and abs/asr faulty.

Changed battery and alternator still the same. New alternator only outputs 13.5v
Local garage insist it needs new power steering ECU.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No comms with the steering ECU could be caused by no power to the ECU (fuse, wiring or BSM), or a fault on the communication bus (short or open circuit), or the ECU itself.
I would start by checking every fuse in the car, and/or check the voltages at the steering ECU.

How can I test the power going to steering ecu? It has ground wire and B+ thick red wire going directly in to the body of ECU which is part of steering rack.

I can't really help with all those errors as you have comms errors on the CAN network, and also a positive feed failure on the MFD, which may indicate something with the charging circuit or positive feed that may also be affecting the Power Steering - as this is fed directly from the battery.

(11) Electric power steering motor.
(12) Supply connector (+ ignition on ): Multiplexing network (CANH/CANL).
(13) Supply connector (Permanent +).
(14) Body earth.

The steering assistance is obtained by the assistance electric motor (11) controlled by an ECU.

The current supplied to the assistance electric motor (11) depends on the following elements:

• Vehicle speed
• Torque applied to the steering wheel

The electric power steering ECU is incorporated in the steering mechanism.
The calibration of the ECU is adapted to the engines and the pneumatic systems fitted.

Thanks for the info.
I’ve done some testing on the wires going to power steering ECU I get ignition 12v on on wire and 2.5v on the other two.

Resistance between thick black and red wire shows 0L.
I think this means power steering motor is faulty?

After putting everything back together I got another fault U1118

These codes are missing the last 2 digits (probably a limitation of your diagnostic equipment), so I can't be specific, but U1118 refers to comms issues between the powers steering ECU and probably the engine ECU or BSI and the C1321 08 is Power steering communication not valid.

Can anyone check what is the correct part number for steering rack for my vehicle? Can not read from the label. VIN is in the first post.
