Hello,
I have a 2015 C4 Picasso 1.6 diesel, with an electronic gearbox.
Over the last couple of days, the message ‘ ESP/ASR System Fault have the vehicle repaired’ has appeared on my dash, the vehicle will then only crawl along at 20mph. I turn the car off, wait a couple of minutes and start it again, and it then drives fine, but the check engine light stays on.
Is this something I can fix myself or is it a main dealer visit?
Thanks so much for any help or advice.

Re: ESP/ASR System Fault
It needs a proper diagnostic done and then provide all the fault codes with along the VIN for further help. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.

Re: ESP/ASR System Fault
The first suspect on these for any speed sensor related faults is the wiring to the rear ABS sensors that rubs through on the conduit. It's not too hard to check and worth a look if you don't have access to fault reading equipment. The problem area may appear small however!

Seemed like it was just rubbed through and touching so I taped it up and put it back together....to be greeted with a permanent fault. Stripped it back out, and put a connector in, wire just fell apart, I think I had scraped out all the copper! Trip out this afternoon and no warnings
needs new rear pads though....

Re: ESP/ASR System Fault
Thanks, I found an independant Citroen garage who can read the codes, I’ll get it scanned and see what it says.GiveMeABreak wrote: 30 Jul 2024, 13:06 It needs a proper diagnostic done and then provide all the fault codes with along the VIN for further help.
