Citroen c5 Error P2670

Post by Nikolica15 »

I have a fault on the car P2670. Unable to clear error. I did a little research. When I unplug the 5 pin connector. From this part (Delphi 96 600 305 80) (I don't know what this is called). Then I can erase the mistake. Only then does a new error P1471 appear (I think it's logical). Can someone give some advice, opinion, what is wrong, what to replace?

Thanks in advance

A search on your part no. comes back as the throttle body https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/156038503523

Have a look at this topic with the same fault code P2670 where it was suggested to check the battery, earth points and unplugging various sensors (but you might have found the faulty one when you unplugged the throttle body). Unfortunately the OP did not come back to say what if anything was the fix, despite saying he would. viewtopic.php?t=61652&start=15

P1471 effectively is saying you have the throttle body unplugged viewtopic.php?t=74042

Thanks for the answer. I think that sensor is with 5 pins (throttle body). But I don't know how to test it, and I don't have a wiring diagram.

I'll need your VIN for a diagram.

I'm assuming you have a 1.6 DV6TED4 110, but I'll know for sure when I have your VIN.

As for the P2670 fault, this indicates the 5v supply to many of the sensors is too low. The engine ECU supplies the 5V power to many of these sensors, so it is a shared supply, as you can see from the fault analysis below, so can affect multiple sensors. It's therefore important to get to the supply issue rather than the individual sensors.

I would be looking at the engine ECU pins, making sure they are not loose or detached and plugged into the connectors correctly, or for a break in the harness supply wiring.

When I have your VIN, I can provide a specific diagram relative to this engine management system for you to help trace the wires.
Fault Code: P2670
Description of Fault: Supply of sensors 5 Volts n°2: Voltage too low. The voltage supply to the sensors is lower than 4,7 V for more than 150 milliseconds (Air conditioning pressure; Engine speed camshaft).
Conditions for Fault to clear:
  • Ignition on
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active: -
Symptoms:
  • Jerking/stalling
  • Lack of power
  • Starting problem
  • Switching on of the warning lamp and/or warning message: Warning lamp MIL
Suspect Areas:
  • Sensors sharing the supply
  • Electrical harness
  • Engine management ECU (internal failure, supply, ...)

Thanks for your reply.
VIN is : VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to check the connectors and cables on the computer. Is it possible that this part is defective (Delphi 96 600 305 80(throttle body valve )), so that it draws voltage?
And how could I check if that part is working properly?

Here you go this is the Engine EC for your vehicle.

With the exception of the wiring codes, most of the component codes are indexed here:

Thank you.
If I may, one more question and that's it. I can't find the description of the component, it's not listed. (1361 and 1362). And do you maybe have a wiring diagram for the throttle body valve (6 pins, but 5 wire). Here's a picture.
Thanks in advance.

1361: turbocharged air heater electrovalve 1
1362: turbocharged air heater electrovalve 2

That looks like the air mixer unit. The 2 components above (1361 & 1362) are for the air metering device.

P1351 concerns the glow plugs / or the glow plug relay (relay supplied but glow plugs not supplied)

Her are the others:
Fault Code: P0490
Description of Fault: Position indicator signal of the EGR valve: Positive loop gap. Positive difference of 30% % between the exhaust gas recirculation valve position reference value and the position measured (For 10 seconds).
Conditions for Fault to clear:
  • Driving for 5 minutes
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active:
  • Inhibiting of the diagnostics and air flow sensor plausibility
  • Change to "easy move" torque invalid (Deactivation of automatic mode for the electronic parking brake)
Symptoms:
  • Noise
  • Smoke from the exhaust
  • Diesel fuel consumption a bit higher
  • Lack of power
Suspect Areas:
  • Electrical harness
  • Connector
  • Exhaust gas recycling valve
  • Clogged particle filter

Fault Code: P1459
Description of Fault: Position indicator signal of the EGR valve: Valve jammed open while driving. EGR valve jammed shut while driving for 5 seconds. Cleaning forced by the engine ECU.
Conditions for Fault to clear:
  • Driving for 5 minutes
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active:
  • Inhibiting of the diagnostics and air flow sensor plausibility
  • Cutting of all the EGR valve actuators (Turbocharger air cooler) ; EGR valve ; Bypass valve (Intake air heater ) In all operating modes
  • Cutting of the "exhaust heat recovery" function
  • Change to "easy move" torque invalid (Deactivation of the automatic mode of the electrically controlled parking brake)
Symptoms:
  • Jerking/stalling
  • Exhaust smoke
  • Starting problem
  • Lack of power
Suspect Areas:
  • Electrical harness
  • Connections
  • EGR valve (Jammed closed)
  • Engine ECU ( software)

Fault Code: P0409
Description of Fault: Electric EGR valve position copy signal: Valve sticking during the initialisation. Valve sticking for 8 seconds during the initialisation of the powerlatch (between switch off using the key and the ECU going to sleep).

Conditions of activation of the diagnostics

The following conditions have to be met:
- Consult the associated contexts for the Pcode forwarding conditions
- The engine coolant temperature should be between 10 and 100 ° C
- The battery voltage has to be between 10 and 15 volts
Conditions for Fault to clear:
  • Driving for 5 minutes
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active: -
Symptoms:
  • Jerking/stalling
  • Smoke from the exhaust
  • Lack of power
  • Starting problem
Suspect Areas:
  • Electrical harness
  • Connector
  • Exhaust gas recycling valve
  • Engine ECU
  • Fouling
