Fault Code: P1471
Description of Fault: Throttle housing electrovalve control (EGR)(Principal air meter): Throttle open. Detection of an open circuit (For 100 ms).

Conditions of activation of the diagnostics
Battery voltage more than 7V
EGR butterfly command between 10 and 95%
Conditions for Fault to clear: Ignition on
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active:
  • Inhibiting of the diagnostics and air flow sensor plausibility
  • Cut of all the actuators
  • Inhibiting of the initialisations of the EGR electric valve position
Symptoms:
  • Jerking/stalling
  • Lack of power
Suspect Areas:
  • Air mixer
  • Electrical harness
  • Connector
P1351 is a common fault meaning the glow plug relay is active when the engine ECU is commanding it off. This can mean either a faulty relay or glow plugs - but as it won't affect starting unless in extreme conditions. However the glow plugs to assist with regeneration of the particle filter by raising engine temperature on occasion when requested by the engine ECU.

Not necessarily, I would be checking the MAF, and all electrical connections as mentioned above.

P1471? I thought that was when the engine was trying to see who called it last?
