Check and Regulate C5 Mk1 Suspention

Unread post by yoseff »

Today i was trying to regulate my C5 heights , but i confess i got a bit confused relating to what should be manually done and how to get the numbers to put in Diagbox.
I found this topic viewtopic.php?p=564318#p564318 for Mk2 but found none for MK1

Also other thing that is confusing me is that for the front , In Lexia it says to get the number by doing 280 - (R1+H1M) , but on the other topic for the MK2 it says 280 - (R1-H1M).
In my case it should be wrong , but the numbers are 280-(300-148) , and it says after put the number that it is out of tolerance...

I guess i need some enlightenment on the complete process

Thanks for pointing direction. It was of great help. Now i have the car with perfect height. It is way more stable and comfy. Not perfect yet , (regarding to comfort) , but i'm pretty sure spheres are with lower pressures than it was supposed. Need to test them , but dont have a sphere tester yet. Need to build one, possibly with some Xantia spare parts i have around.

The main problem was that even in Diagbox it was showing wrong instructions on how to get the number to put there , saying it would be 280-R1+H1M... Anyway , thanks to your info , i was able to set the proper Heights.

One less thing to worry on the 2.2. On to the next problem

By the way... Does anyone has an Hub Centre tool that we could get measurements in order to be easier replicate the original on a 3D printer? That would be awesome , as the finding of radius is a bit more complex than it appears...

These aren't available that I can see as they are special tools. Best bet is to improvise and use the centre of a wheel cap to mark the centre with a marker or similar.
