Citroen c4 cactus 2019 model gearbox oil topup

Hi everyone,
This is first post, so I would like to say hi to everyone.
And thanks for having me.

I recently changed my front shock absorbers on my Citroën c4 cactus and unfortunately while doing the passenger side shock, some gearbox oil leaked out from the drive shaft. I would like to top up the oil or change it to make sure the correct quantity is in there.
Would anybody have a drawing or know where the filler cap is located or breather if no filler cap.
Also what is the correct gearbox oil for manual 6 speed gearbox. Is is 75w80 gl4+ ???? Or what oil is best??

Pop your VIN up and I'll check your build date (please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff), as the 75W80 oil was for older vehicles. Newer versions have a different recommended oil.

Ok, so the recommended oil for your build date is: TOTAL TRANSMISSION HBVFE2 75W.

Also, please note that your vehicle is being flagged for a recall! I'd call the dealer and give them your VIN, and they'll be able to tell you what it is for, but it will be free of charge.

Hi Marc,

Could you provide me with the gearbox drawing to show the fill and drain plug location. I will fill up with 1.8 litres correct? 100ml will be left in there once drained. Thanks again.

You fill up with 1.7 litres after draining:

Type of gearbox	MB6
Oil quantity	1,8 ± 0,2 litres
Volume remaining after draining	0,1 ± 0,1 litres
Filling volume in aftersales	1,7 ± 0,1 litres

I don't have the specific diagram for the MB6 gearbox for this vehicle showing the drain and vent accesses - only the gearbox diagram from replacement parts, which requires a membership upgrade:-
