2015 Citroen Relay Central Locking not operating

Post by Talljim »

Hi,

I am new to the site and probably like most people joining I have problem with my van and would like some help solving this problem using the advise from this forum.

I have a 2015 Citroen relay panel van (35 heavy L4H2 eprise hdi) and the problem is the central locking has stopped working on the key fob, button on the driver door and the button on the dash. I have had it scanned at the local garage and its showing BSI code U1412 Alarm Siren Control Unit (ASU) fault.

I did a search of google and found this site with parts diagram of the location of the siren and module. I am struggling to find the module (e16 in the picture)and would like to now if anybody can give me a more precise location of it. I spent the afternoon looking around the engine bay and take some of the dash apart.

Does anybody now if the module can be tested with a volt meter?

Is there a central locking module separate from the alarm?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Have you checked all the fuses?
Does your dash display show when all the doors are being opened & closed?
The alarm siren is located behind the front right wing, you need to remove the wheel arch liner to access it. Would certainly be worth checking for water ingress in the connector.

hi thank you for the reply. I did check all the fuses today and will have a look at the alarm siren tomorrow. All the doors show as open on the display and the back door seems to stay on all the time.

Thats where id start looking, if it thinks the door is open it wont lock. Cant remember if the door switch is in the latch mechanism or a separate pin switch. If its in the latch id check the wiring where it goes through the door hinges.

if it is the rear door it is built into the lock/catch and if it is the side door it is on a spring pin if they are the same as our early mk 111 Ducato. I have a mod for the spring pin and had to fit new catches as the small plastic nose bits were worn and that was the fault with my rear door. I swapped the passenger door catch for the rear one to test it before I got new catches

Hi,

I have spent the week checking the van over look for the on going fault.
Rear door switch
Rear door switch
Checked all the door switches. All seem to be 2-3v with the ignition on and 0.06v with it off
Siren (driverside)
Siren (driverside)
Found the alarm siren. All the connectors where good. No power at the connector. Continuity across the siren.

I also pulled all the fuses and relay and checked them.

I think my next question is where is the control module is it under the bonnet or dash ( no. 3)?

Thank you all your help so far.
