Where does the vacuum pipe go??

Post by nikplume »

Hi there.
I had to take a few parts out to install some new brake pipes and (rather stupidly) I didn't take pictures of where everything went. Everything is back together now but I can't find where to the vacuum pipe that comes out of the back of the vacuum tank goes. It is the pipe on it's own that points towards the back of the engine bay. Can anyone tell me where it attaches please? I can't see it anywhere

I have a 2002 Mk2 Citroen Berlingo 1.9D

Welcome

Hopefully this is the right one. Post your VIN and we can confirm (it will hide itself).

Thank you so much for that. It's the S shaped pipe on the bottom picture with the number 3 connector. Do you have a diagram of the pipes from the fuel filter housing?

Vin Number is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Is there any way I can post pictures?

Pictures - select the Full Editor and Preview button, then below the text input window, click on the attachments tab, then add files. Once uploaded, just click place in line and they will put themselves in where the cursor is.

Thanks again for the quick reply. The Pipes in my fingers come from the fuel filter housing and the pipe on its own is the vacuum pipe in question

The pipe with the clip appears to be number 12 on the fuel diagram

I now know that the pipe I had connected to the clip is the drainage pipe. I was deceived as it fits very snug on the clip.
My final question is:
Does the vacuum pipe have a clip / cable tie to keep it in place? It seems very loose.
