Evening all
After replacement of the Xantia radiator that was leaking the top hose has now shown signs of bursting and buldging.
Are these still available? Im not certain of the part numbers. It has two hoses that come from it going to the oil heat exchanger and another to somewhere else! (Cant remember right now!)
I would be happy to make up some T junctions to fit the old hoses into (the smaller 2) if I can find a similar hose that has a bayonet fitting for the radiator end! (In front of the alternator)
The car was steady at 85-90 degrees so Im hoping that its just tired hoses and not other issues.
Ideally Im after new original hoses if someone knows of some old stock? Also require the shorter heater hose that runs from the thermostat to the firewall for the matrix.
Theres zero stock here in OZ and locating the part online has also been hard so far.
Regards Cam

Here you go - as expected none of these are available from Citroen, but at least you can identify the part numbers for alternative suppliers:
Are you the same Cam85 on Aussie Frogs? I've just been reading a few posts about your Xantia if you are!

Best of luck with getting the parts though.

This one:

I suspect it's even more difficult to get parts for the older Citroens down in Oz then - bad enough here!

Yes it can be a bit if a nightmare. Its just the coolent hoses at this point that are hard to get.
Ive been looking online for hours last night and sending off emails here and there with not much luck.
It looks like the 2.1TD uses a similar hose just without the extra hoses coming from it. I may be able to make something work with that.
Im also waiting 4 weeks for a Turbo cam from CatCams.
Cant wait to get the old girl back on the road!

For the hose (not sure exactly which one you're after) try http://www.mister-auto.com/, or your local language version of the same.

Re: Xantia CT Top Rad hose needed!
If they're proving that hard to get hold of, would it not make sense to look at reusing (if possible!) Just the last inch or two of hose and then make up a replacement?
We've done that for a few buses using bits intended for kit cars etc in the past where we need to replace pre moulded hoses that have been out of production for the last 30 years. Decent quality ones should see out the life of the car for probably not much more than it'll cost to get originals - especially with shipping costs over to there if they're not local.
