Xantis - Interchangeability of streening pinion valves

Does anyone know what are the differences between the following steering pinion valves

4048F9
4048P1

Are they interchangeable ?

Not a clue.....I cannot think many people would of tried as not many are in your (geographical) situation with limited spares/2nd hand units available.

I would say that the information suggests that they are not interchangeable, one is for cars with sinking suspension and FDV, and the other is for later cars with more conventional steering hydraulics.

"Are they interchangeable ? "
These ones are usually identical except for the high pressure input side. Some require a seal, some are metal on metal like on pump side also. If you transfer your old input socket to the new one it should work anyway. Same for the return side but imho those are similar (at least the ones I've seen).
