Is upgrading RD43 to RD45 feasible?

This unit is the RD4 or RD45 system, made by Continental.
Usually standard equipment unless another system is specified as an option. There are Single & Dual Tuner versions. RD45 features over the RD4: The RD45 has USB connectivity & integrated Bluetooth module supporting Phone & Audio Streaming.

The button with the musical notes on it (assuming you have one) should cycle through balance, bass, treble etc.
You would think so, but no. It's not a major thing to be honest. I get,

Musical Ambiance
Loudness Correction
Balance Left - Right
Balance Rear - Front
Automatic Volume

I found someone else with a similar issue, but in true forum tradition they never posted an outcome. https://www.peugeotforums.com/threads/c ... 07.350180/ In my case the lefthand menu is there, but has eg Settings for eg RDSTEXT and something else.

However, I've come across a problem similar to this viewtopic.php?t=66101 where the radio\display forgets the bluetooth pairing when the ingition is switched off. It re-pairs fine if you go through the process to add a device, but as soon as the ignition goes off and the head unit switches off, nope.

Radio Markings,

RD45 L3FA04 CEM 00
SW 4.2.4.01
EE 0C.01

The radio, display, USB port etc were bought as a set out of another Berlingo.

I think I've got the cause of this one - the display is complaining about a lack of permanent live, so that's something I can get onto.

Just to tidy-up my loose ends,

viewtopic.php?t=83959 I eventually got everything to stop complaining about permanent live missing, and it doesn't appear to have been a fault in itself.

However, the issue of forgetting Bluetooth pairings persisted, and eventually I found this thread, viewtopic.php?t=66101 which describes the exact issue I was having, and the fix for the specific version I had was - in the bin.

I returned the head unit and display, bought other ones, and it works fine. Bluetooth pairings are no longer forgotten.
