This is the Connected NAV system.
Main Features: It is a fully integrated Telematics System featuring CarPlay, Android Auto, Real Time Services, Voice Commands, High-Res Display, 3D Navigation, Bluetooth Hands Free & USB. 2 versions of the system are available NAC (Navigation Audio Connectée) and RCC (Radio Couleur Connectée) or Connected Colour Radio, which does not have the Integrated Navigation or Live Services.
The latest European map for the NAC_EUR_WAVE4 system is 21.0.0-r0.
If you successfully did the firmware update but the map update failed, it's usually because you prepared the USB flash drive on a macOS system.
That system automatically writes files to the flash drive (such as ".DS_store") that messes with the installation procedure in the car. This isn't a problem with touchscreen/firmware updates, which only verify the SHA256 checksum for individual files, not full folders such as the "/SWL/002*/Data/data-pkg/NAV/MAP/" (see the final line of "/SWL/002*/HashList.ini") and fail if any new files are present. @owl: It doesn't identify some VIN and it doesn't give any error?
@Sergio Ribeiro: Are you sure the Citroën Update software is offering the 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 firmware version? AFAIK, currently any NAC_EUR_WAVE4 system has only been offering the invalid 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0 firmware (with an expired signing certificate). Anyway, there are also 2 "available" versions of the 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 firmware, with 6 312 212 480 and 6 312 210 432 bytes, only the former is valid (the one linked on my page). If you connect your car to a WiFi network, you don't need the license on the USB flash drive. If you still need the license, you need to post (or send me) the full VIN. For privacy reasons, all VINs on this forum are automatically obfuscated, only forum staff could read them.
@toudubon:
Any reason you're trying to install the older 21.08.87.32_NAC-r1 firmware version? That version is too old and already has an expired signing certificate (so, impossible to install).
The license for the latest 21.08.90.52_NAC-r0 firmware version could be downloaded at: https://majestic-web.mpsa.com/mjf00-web ... D4EE802818
You just have to extract the 21.08.90.52_NAC-r0 .tar update (it's just like a zip file) to a FAT32-formatted USB flash drive and copy the "license_0D01081F19D4EE802818_001315031666020829.key" you've just downloaded to a "\license" folder on the same USB flash drive.
Translation:-
I saw there were issues with version 21.08.90.52_NAC-r0 due to certificates and a missing license... in that regard, will the license you posted there allow me to update to the new version?
Update: I put the key in a folder, but it still tells me the version is incompatible with the hardware. I checked my UIN, and it's different from the license you have there, so I guess there really isn't a valid license?

hi i have CITROEN C5 AIRCROSS HYBRID 225 2021 42.01.72.32_NAC-r0 I would like someone, if possible, to tell me what I need to do and what the next steps are to complete the upgrade. It is a 2021 model, but the control unit shows 2020, and the VIN is...VR7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
@rmf:
The code signing certificate (included in all updates) and the license key are 2 different things. The license is specific for your car (and the version you're trying to install), so you can't use someone's license.
But for the NAC_EUR_WAVE2 system you can just use the Peugeot Update software, that should correctly prepare the USB flash drive with the 21.08.90.52_NAC-r0 firmware version (and respective license) and the 31.0.0-r0 European maps.
You can download the license for the 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 firmware version (UpdateID 001315031692686757) and for your UIN at: https://majestic-web.mpsa.com/mjf00-web ... D4D1DFB219
And copy that "license_0D010E1689D4D1DFB219_001315031692686757.key" file to a "\license" folder in the same previously FAT32-formatted USB flash drive with the extracted 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 firmware - NAC_EUR_WAVE4.
Hi. The following maps will be suitable: PSA_map-eur_21.0.0-r0-NAC_EUR_WAVE4 for Citroen C5 Aircross 2019, 44.07.33.32_Nac-r0 VR7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. If they are suitable, is there Belarus there?
I bought a Citroen C5 Aircross, 2023 model year. I’m trying to update the firmware to version 44.07.33.32, but it doesn’t work — the system shows “Version incompatible”.
Currently, the installed firmware version is 43.04.26.52. I suspect I might need to install firmware version 42.03.33.42 first, and then update to 44.07.33.32.
If I’m right, I need license keys for these firmware versions. If it’s not too much trouble, could you please share them?

@Tkchroc: Yes, that map is compatible with your NAC_EUR_WAVE4 system, but you can't use the official Citroën Update software because that VIN is associated with a NAC_EUR_WAVE3 in the Stellantis database. Belarus is included in the European map.

I recently acquired a 2023 Citroën C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid 225 (PHEV) with the Shine Pack trim level, and I would like to update the mapping and the touchscreen software.
I used the Citroën Update app, which offers the following versions:
Mapping: 21.0.0-r0, replacing the currently installed version 12.0.0-r0.
Touchscreen software: 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0, replacing the currently installed version 43.04.26.52_NAC-r0.
The mapping update to version 21.0.0-r0 went smoothly without any issues.
However, when I try to install the touchscreen software 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0, the system displays an "Incompatible version" message.
I have tried several times, including using a different brand-new USB drive, but the problem persists.
I have browsed various forum posts, but I admit I am struggling to understand the root cause of the problem and the procedure to resolve it.
My VIN is: VR7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]; I have verified that my multimedia system is indeed a NAC Wave 4.
Additionally, I downloaded firmware 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 from the NAC & RCC Updates website.
The file is exactly 6,312,212,480 bytes in size.
I haven't installed it yet because I want to ensure I prepare the USB drive correctly and obtain the license corresponding to my vehicle and this firmware version. Could you tell me the procedure for resolving this issue?
Should I use version 44.07.33.32 instead of the 44.06.44.22 version suggested by Citroën Update?
How do I obtain and install the appropriate license?
Are there any specific precautions to take before starting the update?
Thank you in advance for your help and advice.
Have a good evening, everyone.
I have just purchased a 2023 Citroën C5 Aircross PHEV 225 Shine Pack and I am trying to update both the navigation maps and the touchscreen firmware.
I used the official Citroën Update application, which offers the following versions:
Navigation maps: 21.0.0-r0, replacing the currently installed version 12.0.0-r0.
Touchscreen firmware: 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0, replacing the currently installed version 43.04.26.52_NAC-r0.
The navigation map update to version 21.0.0-r0 completed successfully without any problems.
However, when I try to install touchscreen firmware version 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0, the system displays the message “Hardware not compatible”.
I have tried several times, including with a brand-new USB flash drive, but the problem persists.
I have read through the forum posts, but I am having difficulty understanding the cause of the problem and how to resolve it.
My VIN is VR7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. I have checked that my infotainment system is indeed a NAC Wave 4.
I have also downloaded firmware version 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 from the NAC & RCC Updates website.
The file size is exactly 6,312,212,480 bytes.
I have not installed it yet, as I would first like to understand how to prepare the USB flash drive correctly and obtain the licence corresponding to my vehicle and this firmware version.
Could someone please explain the correct procedure to resolve this issue?
Should I use version 44.07.33.32 instead of version 44.06.44.22 offered by Citroën Update? How can I obtain and install the correct licence? Are there any specific precautions I should take before starting the update?
Thank you in advance for your help and advice.
Best regards,
