Problem CITROEN C5 II EXCLUSIVE RAIN/LIGHT SENSOR

Hello, I have a 2006 Citroën C5 (RHR Exclusive, 2.0 HDi 136 FAP). A few months ago, the windshield was replaced, and the light and rain sensor stopped working. They tried to initialize the sensor using both Texa and Lexia diagnostic tools; with Lexia, the process gets stuck at 60% and won't proceed any further. A second sensor was tested using the same procedure, but without success; the error persists in Lexia (I’ve attached an image of the error). The light sensor works, though it is slower than it was before the windshield replacement. When the automatic wipers are engaged, they perform a sweep every 5–10 seconds, even when it isn't raining. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it? It seems the rain sensor is no longer available, and neither is the replacement gel.

I'm afraid I cannot understand the error picture as it appears to be in Spanish!

I had an issue on my 06 C8 after auto glass removed it and re fitted it because they had the wrong windscreen. For the lights, I had to put them on manually and then cancel them, which brought them back to auto working order. Not had an issue with the wipers.

There's an interesting thread a few years (ten!) ago about a rain sensor on an X7. It's unfortunate that Marc's photo is not displayed as he was using Photobucket at the time.

It's a pity that the photos in the first post of this thread only show the back of the rain sensor, not what it looks like from outside where it seals to the windscreen.
