I would assume one of two things has happened there Husky, either the new version is manufactured from stronger material or they realised that the original had been over engineered and so reduced the diameter to make savings! I'd fit it as it has the same OEM number and if it does go awry you will have a claim.

Maybe the over engineered design has caused it to fail?
