Citroen Berlingo 2009 1.6TD Brake judder issue

Hi all
I'm hoping you can help me once again.
This time my husbands Berlingo 2009 1.6 TD.
It has a brake judder issue on the foot pedal when braking. We have a decent code reader which is recognising an ABS fault (coherance problem) on the front right side and we have a sensor on order but as we've had the sensor go on the front left previously without brake judder this may not be the problem.

So far he's replaced the brake disc on the front right and the brake caliper and greased all the sliders it's still the same.
If anyone has any ideas as to what could be causing this I'd be very grateful for some pointers.
The code reader isn't showing up any other faults, it's an icarsoft reader.

This is a pure conclusion from your post. Since he has replaced the entire offside brake mechanism it does suggest that the ABS sensor is sending false signals to the ECU resulting in the ECU operating the ABS which you are feeling as judder. So I'd have that sensor changed, check the connectors at sensor and fusebox to make sure you have no corrosion and then see how it performs with the new sensor Good luck

It seems to me that if only one side has a new brake disc then the braking may be out of balance. It's generally considered a good idea to fit brake discs in pairs. Also, what happened about brake pads? Did an old pair of brake pads get refitted onto the new brake disc? Or were new pads fitted to both sides? Either way the pads will need bedding in.

We had bad brake judder when braking at speed. I changed the front pads and no difference. So then I changed both the front disks and the judder was gone.

Brake judder can be caused by problems with the rear brakes as well as the front ones. I had this on a Maxi and it was wear in a rear brake drum.

Rather than just replacing the discs the runout should have been checked with a dial gauge as well as on the new ones installed to make sure it is within spec.
