Horrible juddering graunching sound from offside front brake .. which totally stops .. when ABS fault light comes on ..
It then brakes smoothly and silently BUT only once ABS fault is triggered ..
Does this make any sense .. such as the front offside sensor or bearing actually being at fault ..
Discs are fine and front pads are new .. replaced in the hope they were causing the problem ..
Any links, ideas, feedback or suggestions very welcome ..

Re: Berlingo Multispace 2008 old shape - ABS recurring fault
Welcome along
Sounds like there is a fault with the ABS pick up ring - if you scan it it should tell you where / what the fault is. Could also be rust jacking under the sensor causing an unreliable signal. Not sure if a 2008 will be toothed ring on the drive shaft or mag track in the bearing? If on the drive shaft it might be possible to get a new ring and replace it; if in the bearing it will need a new bearing. If rust jacking you will probably destroy the sensor getting it out, but new ones are not dear.

Thanks Richard ..
Weirdly the scanner / diagnostics at the garage
..
Autel MaxiSys Ultra EV
Version: V6.90
.. suggests Front LH wheel speed sensor Coherence ..
Confusingly the noise / judder definitely sounds like it's coming from RH .. I perhaps need to record in passenger footwell + driver footwell to compare better ..

I will establish this / confirm this .. my suspicion is a toothed ring type ..
