Hi Rui,
I have some good news.
I prepared a new USB flash drive using Peugeot Update on a Windows PC instead of macOS, and the map update completed successfully. Everything is now working perfectly.
So the issue was indeed related to preparing the USB on macOS, even though I had already removed the hidden files and verified that there were no extra files in the MAP folder.
Thank you very much for your help and for pointing me in the right direction. I really appreciate the time you took to help me solve this problem.

I have a DS7 Crossback E-tense 2019. A few days ago MyDS app told me there is a new software available to my car, version: 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0.
Current version in my car is: 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 (from 2023-08-21). I thought WTF...

Well, I did download the version MyDS announced to the USB stick, but it didn't even recognized in the car.

I read this topic and special thanks to Rui Saraiva, here is a lot of information.

My car´s VIN-code tells: From factory, my car had a NAC_EUR_WAVE3 infotainment system.
But in reality my car currently has a NAC_EUR_WAVE4 system. So, the information stored in the Stellantis servers was not updated.

For some reason today MyDS had updated itself, and did not notify of new updates, and the version reported by the app had updated to the version what is in the car. Maybe it was updated yesterday via Google Android Auto, I don't know.

So something has been done on the Stellantis servers...

So I just bought a C4 cactus that had a older update. I installed my Citroen and downloaded and prepared the USB drive like they said. The update installed successfully but it seem to have broken the navigation system because I can no longer use him. It gives me a weird error to reboot the system and download the map update again, but I only downloaded the touchscreen update that was available. And after that mycitroen still shows me to update to (42.03.33.42_NAC-r0) but this is the version that I installed...

I've tried everything, do I need to install the Maps manually? And I know there is a more updated version of the system, do I need to update to a newer version manually too?

@Tiago2196: You've just converted your NAC_EUR_WAVE3 (3x.0x.xx.xx) to a NAC_EUR_WAVE4 (4x.0x.xx.xx) system and in the process the installed map was deleted (maps for a specific Wave level are only compatible with systems of that Wave level). Because that conversion was not reported back to the Stellantis servers, they still think you have a NAC_EUR_WAVE3 system and the Citroën Update/MyCitroën will only offer you updates for that Wave 3.

Until Stellantis identifies your system as a NAC_EUR_WAVE4:
* You need to manually prepare the USB flash drive with the NAC_EUR_WAVE4 map (latest European version is 20.0.0-r0);
* You can't update the system/firmware.

There is also an update for WAVE1 with number 29. The files inside are dated November 10, 2025.
